Techni MobiliCompact Computer Desk With Side Shelf And Keyboard Panel, Cherry, 43" x 19.5" x 30"

My wife and I have been looking for a desk for several weeks. I had previously owned an expensive four-hundred dollar high-quality desk made by Bush which finally fizzled out while moving from city to city over the past few years. Our new apartment was pretty small, and we needed to maximize space while still having enough room for our 25" monitors.These desks were amazing! They don't appear to be juvenile at all. In fact, I couldn't find the word juvenile on the box--very odd. They certainly seem like they were designed for adults in mind. I'm 6' 2" and my wife is 5' 4" and neither of us have a problem using the included keyboard tray which sits about 27" from the floor. The desk top itself sits at 30.5" off the floor.The color of the wood isn't cherry, but that didn't matter to us. Frankly, it looks like the picture. The quality of the wood is awesome even if it is not real wood. Both desks came perfectly packed and weren't damaged at all. Assembly probably took us an hour or more working together to assemble both desks. They went together pretty easily and end up being very tight and sturdy. Incidentally, they so totally beat all of the big name office stores for sturdiness/quality--even compared to the two-hundred dollar price range. It is the sort of desk I wouldn't be afraid to sit on or lean against!The four feet are somewhat adjustable if your floor is uneven, and while we didn't need them, they are a great touch. The CPU holder also has two adjustable feet to assist in holding the CPU off the floor. Personally, I can't see the usefulness of a CPU holder, but its included.The actual surface of the top of the desk is about 30.5" wide by about 19.5" deep. The keyboard tray is about 25.5" wide by 11.5" deep.The kit includes extra screws/parts just in case. A phillips screw driver is also included. A detailed English/Spanish manual is included. It sports some good pictures and isn't written in Engrish. I can't read Spanish, so I can't comment on that.Overall, we're extremely happy! Couldn't be a better value, especially with Amazon Prime!

Overview: A solid desk for a good price. A few minor issues, but nothing dealbreaking.Pros: This desk is made out of solid materials and feels as though it will last a long time, and compares to products I browsed in stores for around $200. It is decently sized and fits my whole gargantuan monitor, two speakers, a keyboard, graphics tablet, and mouse, and there is a bit of room left over for a glass of water and a pen holder. The side shelf is very handy for a printer, plant, or other decorations. It can be put on on either side, although it is difficult to switch it to another side once you've put the top piece on, unless you have a very small screwdriver.Cons: It was a bit tricky to put together. Most of it was pretty easy, but the keyboard tray holes didn't seem to line up with the sliders. I also needed to use a small power drill to get those screws in, a screwdriver and elbow grease only got the screws 70% of the way in. Once put together, the shelf works pretty well, but the left side of the tray catches sometimes on the way out. I could try some WD40, and other customers may not even run into this problem.Other notes: Don't be alarmed when you open it up and think it's a kid's desk. The side supports seem too short, but that is only the height of the keyboard tray. There are extenders that make the desk part taller.5/5 for a desk in this price range.

--This works great for adults, both in size and style. It's very functional and reliable for people of all ages.--If you don't like the look of the optional printer stand or the optional computer/tower stand, you can just leave either/both out when you assemble the desk. I found the tower stand an unnecessary use of space, so I left it out. Also, if you prefer, you can set up the printer shelf and/or the tower stand on the left side. Easily customizable.--Setup took me 2 hours. They included everything in the package, including tools.--Exceptional value. I had budgeted $150 for a good desk. This would have been a great desk for $150. It was a dream at $75.--It's only 40 pounds and exceptionally easy to move. The other desks I was considering were mainly in the 80-100 pound range. The difference between 40 and 80 pounds is very noticeable, particularly if your dorm/apartment/house doesn't have an elevator. I'm a reasonably fit 120-pound guy and carried the package up 2 flights of stairs without any problems. With an 80+ pound desk, I probably would have needed help. If you see yourself moving your furniture around for any reason (e.g. to accommodate new cords or new devices), moving this desk is super-easy for one person.--Good amount of desk space. I find that it has enough space to comfortably fit a somewhat large (19'') monitor, a small tower, 2 speakers, a cable router, and a regular-sized paper notebook. The keyboard tray has enough size & clearance to handle a MASSIVE keyboard and a mousepad/mouse. However, the optional printer stand is very small (roughly 15'' long by 11.5'' wide -- roughly the size of 2 regular sheets of computer paper). As you can see in the above picture, it's a tight fit even for a small printer. My 60-page-a-minute printer never had a chance.

First for the pros. Very sturdy and looks good. I am not sure about the top but I expect the frame to be around for many years. Now for the cons. it had no instructions which is not really a problem because the images of what it was supposed to look like are good but I didn't really know which bolts went where that was made even worse by having an extra set of smaller bolts and missing a set of larger ones. Quick trip to the hardware store though and all is together and solid.Yes I was discouraged that there were some problems but I would buy this again if I needed another one. Normally havng missing parts and no instructions would have been a lower rating fromme but I really like the desk and it was worth the extra work.

This unit was easiest to build. Vey well laid out instructions. It is a sturdy desk and is great for small places. Love this buy.

Very sturdy table and quality is very good. I am very happy with this purchase.

Pas très solide, mais pour le prix je ne m'attendais pas à du béton...Par contre, l'apparence du fini du dessus est très acceptable.J'ai de la facilité à assembler les meubles, alors je sais pas si mon évaluation de la facilité d'assemblage est très pertinente.Le tiroir glisse un peu mal, moi ça fait mon affaire car une fois sorti, il ne rentre pas quand on tape au clavier!Je le recommanderais à un ami, pourvu qu'il n'y a ni enfants ni animaux dans sa maison (qui risqueraient de se blesser en tentant de grimper dessus, vu son manque de robustesse).

The desk was easy to assemble. Although not needed there were extra bolts and screws supplied beyond the minimum needed. The keyboard shelf slides out out the way easily. The only caution is that the edges of the keyboard shelf sliders were sharp; I had to use a find file to make them safe.
