PowerA Official 3DS XL Starter Kit - Red

This kit contained everything I needed for my 3DS XL. The pouch is great - it doesn't add too much bulk and is padded well. I wish it had some storage for extra games, but I generally carry a purse with me, so traveling with my games in the little plastic holders isn't a big deal. I love the plastic game cases. They're just the right amount of transparency, I don't have to worry about my games getting lost, and they keep purse debris away from the games' contacts. The styli are official ones, so they're great. The screen protectors can be a little difficult to apply, but they fit well and don't cause any issues with the capacitive touch screen. The headphones are pretty cheap, but I don't use headphones when I'm using my 3DS XL. The color of this kit is a beautiful aqua blue. Not sure how it looks with a blue 3DS XL (mine is pink & white), but after purchasing an identical kit in wine to match my wine DSi XL a while ago, I knew this was my only option. Pink would've been nice, but this blue is cute and probably looks more feminine than the red. Oh, and the car charger works great.

First off when I received my package it was early, and contained more products than I expected! I bought this for my New Nintendo 3DS XL bearing in mind that this product would not fit my N3DS XL exactly. Here is my review for each product:Case:The overall case build quality is great. Due to the out synthetic fabric it can resist a few spills. Bear in mind this is not a completely waterproof case, however it does resist minor spills. The case fits great and allows me to fit a stylus and one game card case in perfectly. If I squeeze everything I can fit both card cases in the 3DS XL case. With a regular 3DS XL it may fit but I wouldn't know :)Screen Protectors/Cleaning Cloth:The screen protectors are a tad too small for my N3DS XL, however they work like they are supposed to. They help avoid scratches and don't impede my tap to touch with stylus or fingers. The cloth works like your average glasses/electronics cleaning cloth.Game Card Cases:The case fits both DS and 3DS games. It is very tight causing some trouble getting my games in the case, but I'm very happy to know that they wont fall out.Head Phones:When I picked these up I laughed so hard my hearing aids fell out! Seriously though with my residual hearing the headphones and speakers sound the same so I'm really not the best to judge.Stylus:They are fit for the 3DS XL and not the N3DS XL but that doesn't bother me. I just shoved one in the case and was perfectly content. They did send me 2 black and one blue so if you really wanted grey that would be unfortunate, but it wasn't a big deal for me.Car Charger:I have not used this nor do I think I will use it in the near future. however it was a pleasant surprise to find when I opened my box.

Sure this stuff isn't the highest quality product you can find, but the only thing I found to be cheap was the headphones (which are easily the lowest quality, most horrible sounding headphones I have ever tried to use). The screen protectors are surprisingly good, as is the car charger, and honestly, for $10, anything else is just a bonus. You can never have too many styluses (styli?) or game cartridge containers, and the cleaning cloth is better than average, even if it's not superb. The case doesn't offer much in the way of protection except for what would amount to minor scratches and dings (which is all I need), so if you are rough/careless with your systems you might want to search for a more rugged case elsewhere. Overall I would highly recommend this product, as long as you know what you are getting.

I purchased this kit in Blue and Red for both my boys and I'm very disappointed. I thought since they were specific to the 3DS XL it would be the perfect accessory case and kit, I was wrong. The case only holds the game. There is no space for extras like game cartridges or extra stylus. There isn't even a handle. The separate game cartridge holder is nice in that its a hard plastic and protects but without space to put them in the case, kids will surely lose them right away. I've purchased the GameGEAR DS XL pouch in the past for the older game and love it and will buy it again now for the 3dsXL, so much better for on the go kids, traveling, and general care.Check Out: Nintendo DSi XL 20 in 1 Starter Kit - Midnight Blue by DreamGear

We loved the color and it worked for a while. Now, the pen pad does not recognize the stylus and the buttons don't work either. It has been used about 10-15 times and now isn't working.

This was a great buy for me to protect my newly obtained Nintendo DS XL. The case, unfortunately, is just a soft, cloth-like case that will do little to protect your DS from falls. However, if you're the type to store your DS in a backpack or bag and just need some sort of protection from getting bumped around too much, this package isn't bad. The screen protectors fit perfectly to the DS - I highly recommend applying them CAREFULLY as you are only given one set (1 for lower touchscreen, another for the upper). The headphones are averages and the game case and extra DS touchscreen applicators are average. If you want a more rigid case, I would look for another package or buy the case separately.

This is a cheaply priced set, but the items are great quality. I bought it specifically for the screen protectors and car charger (yes, it IS included!) since that alone is worth the $9. The "pouch" is a nice addition to carry the DS in my bag without worry of scratches when I don't feel like, or don't have room for my regular carry-case. I wasn't expecting a case or bag, that's what it is, a pouch. Earburds are nice quality, and so are the snap cases for games.In all, yes, buy it. As long as you are not expecting a hard or double flap carrier-case, you'll like this bundle.
