Quality Gravity Water Filter Tank and Affordable!
So far, so good! We live in east central Texas and our water is horrible. There are doctors in town that warn patients about the high sodium content in our water. It's awful. I did extensive research into gravity fed water systems and landed on the Waterdrop King Tank. We were impressed with the third party testing and certifications that Waterdrop has for their products (only found two that had this). This system was really easy to assemble. Really straight forward and everything felt like great quality! The spigot itself was so heavy you can tell its fully metal and well made. The filters were easy to soak. I will admit, priming them wasn't the funnest thing but honestly if that what someone would complain about, they are just lazy! Its really not that bad. You only have to prime it for 60 seconds. The water filters through very quickly. Which we hope is not a sign of poor filtration but according to their testing, it must work well. I had my first glass of water from it last night and it was incredible to have a glass of water that did NOT taste like a salty swimming pool. And no chlorine aftertaste. I'll be making our own stand to save money but even without it looks really nice on our counters. The 2.25 gallons will work well for my family of four in hot Texas. Especially since it filters so quickly. Can't be done until I mention price. We happened to catch it on sale which is what made our final decision. You just can't beat getting a third party tested system that OUT PERFORMS Berkey and is a fourth of the cost. Plus the filter replacement price is unbeatable when comparing literally all of the other brands we looked at and those (all but one) were not even third party tested and certified. All to say, very satisfied and would probably recommend this to a lot of people.

Great filter. Same as the expensive ones
I am thoroughly impressed with its performance. Installation was incredibly straightforward – it took me less than 10 minutes to set up, which is a testament to its user-friendly design. Maintenance is just as easy; changing the filter involves a simple twist and replace, with no tools required. The instructions are clear, making the process intuitive even for those not particularly tech-savvy. But where this filter really shines is in the taste of the water it produces. It transforms ordinary tap water into something refreshingly pure, stripping away any odd tastes or odors that were previously there. Each glass of water is now a delight to drink, encouraging me to stay hydrated throughout the day. Overall, this filter has exceeded my expectations in terms of ease of use, maintenance, and most importantly, the quality of water it provides. If you're looking for a hassle-free way to enjoy great-tasting water at home, this filter is definitely worth considering.

Great water filtration system!
I’ve been eyeing a Berkey for a few years, but they don’t ship to California, so I was excited when I stumbled across the WaterDrop gravity flow system that’s basically the same thing. It’s a major bonus that it’s a few hundred dollars cheaper. There isn’t a sewer system where I live, and the ground water is terrible. I got a humidifier a few years ago, but have been unable to use it because after filling it with tap water, the mist coming out of it would smell like urine. I’ve been happily using my humidifier for the past few days and it smells like nothing. I also did the red dye test after it was assembled, and the water came out crystal clear. I’ve had no issues with leakage after assembly either. The reason I’m giving it 4/5 stars instead of 5/5 is for two reasons: 1) Before assembly and every month afterwards you’re suppose to prime/flush the filters. They supply you with a gasket that you’re supposed to attach to the filter and to a water faucet (I’ve included a picture of this next to my kitchen faucet). They state that the gasket will fit around most faucets, but unless your house was built in the 1990s or before, I’d guess there is at least a 50% chance it won’t fit due to the variety of sizes and shapes of modern faucets. I wish they had made one side of that gasket stretchier to fit over all fixtures. 2) While assembly wasn’t difficult, attaching the faucet wasn’t exactly easy either. They do provide you with a wrench, which is a bonus, but because the walls of the WaterDrop are rounded you can only tighten the bolt 1/8 of a turn at a time. It probably took me 15 minutes to attach it. If you don’t own a bendy ratchet it takes forever to attach the faucet and get it tight. They also recommend disassembling the whole unit every month to clean it. There is no way a normal person will want to remove that faucet every month and reattach it. Overall a great system, I would definitely recommend it.

Good for the price and easy to refill
I've been using this for about 9 months now and I can say it was definitely a good purchase. It is very easy to fill up and lasts about a day each refill for how much water I drink and the water just feels better to drink. The area I live in has a lot of chemicals and metals in the water and I fully believe this has improved the water quality of our drinking water.

Tastes so much better, but…
Even though the TDS barely budged and it basically runs right through the filter /: we do think the water tastes soo much more clean, crisp, less drying in our mouth, and much more refreshing. However, lol… I’ve read “TDS readings won’t change after carbon filtration because a TDS reading includes the beneficial minerals a carbon filter like this is letting pass through, but doesn’t include the harmful toxins that a carbon filter is filtering…” but many toxins that these filters claim to filter ARE soluble (fluoride, nickel, aluminum, lead, tin, mercury, etc) and if they’re being filtered, it should reflect a lower TDS reading. I definitely don’t think “0” TDS is the goal and using distilled/evaporated water would be another step to leaving more solids behind… but you spend good money on a carbon filter that’s supposed to work via adsorption: it needs contact time to efficiently filter toxins and the more contact time, the more efficient filtration. So this flow rate is questionable too because it’s so fast the toxins aren’t getting the contact time needed to be trapped and adhere to the carbon. Ideally, who wouldn’t want to send a sample to a lab to know exactly what’s in it! We just cant swing that and the reviews online made us skeptical of the home kits too. Maybe it’s removing the chlorine since it smells and tastes great, but the flow rate and TDS reading are definitely worth knowing about.

Passed the red dye test!
Passed the red dye test perfectly! I primed both the white fluoride filters and the black carbon filters before using as per the instructions. Performed the red dye test and the filters passed beautifully.
