OtterBox Preserver Series Waterproof Case for Samsung GALAXY S4 - Retail Packaging - Permafrost (Slate Gray/White/Breeze Blue)

Love it !!!

First, I will state: I love OtterBox! I have purchased several for the various phones in my household, however, this one does not live up completely to the reputation. Shock resistance: yes; puts up with physical abuse: yes; waterproof: absolutely! The issues arise when talking on the phone, there is an annoying buzz in the speaker and the feedback causes the person on the other line to hear their own voice (yes I have tried it without the case and from different callers). The annoying buzz is expected (the phone has a waterproof membrane over the speakers), and I can live with the issues other callers have; however, I was disappointed when after 3 weeks the protective screen over the speakers pealed off! The case is still a beast, just disappointed how some of it fell apart.

This case is indeed waterproof. As for echo & complaints from people that nobody can hear them: one of the reviewers here said very correctly that you just need to open the little flap at the bottom of the case and everyone will be able to hear you! Use some common sense!The only reason I'm not giving 5 stars is because my 4 years old peeled the metallic mesh from the top of the case very easily as well as poke through the same metallic mesh one the back of the case. It is still waterproof though, just doesn't looks as good as before. But that's my fault for letting him play on my phone I guess. Other then that this case serves its purpose very well.

Good, durable phone cover at a reasonable price

I like this product, but I put it on my phone and I'm told that whoever talks to me can't really hear me and the mesh covering the top is already coming off. I only put the case on my phone 5 days ago. It takes a while getting used to the screen because it's something new though. I love the case, I can really understand why people recommend OtterBox.

I bought this for my 10-year-old son for Christmas last year. Now going into October it is beat up, but he is a 10 year old boy. The phone is still in great condition so it does its job.

It has been less than a week and the mesh has already started to peel off.I have experienced, as the others have said, the echoing problem when you have the port closed. If you open it, it gets better, but no one can hear me. I have to hold the phone perpendicular to my face and practically yell into the mic so that the person I am talking to can hear me. I haven't tried the waterproof functionality yet (nor would I like to. I have a bad habit of dropping phones in toilets) but I am pretty sure that probably works.Overall - Get it if you know you're going to be in a wet environment all the time and if you dont mind yelling on the phone so your caller can hear you. Try to find something better if you can.

This case is great! I have to have pretty solid cases because my rambunctious toddler is a little phone thief. This case has held up really well, despite it's neglect. Unlike a lot of cases, it was super easy to put on. I'm very happy with this purchase!

The case was nice but anyone I talked to said there was too much feed back, my voice kept echoing. They said it was very annoying. I changed back to another case and it is fine. It was not my phone but the case.

whenever i make a phone call the person on the other end hears a horrible echo. I'm somewhat dissapointed by this. I bought this to use at work as i do a lot of outside work and close to water. I think i will only put the otter box on when i'm in the field and take it off otherwise.

Great case but hard to push buttons on phone. And screen covering speaker for ear is starting to fray. But other then that great case.

The side buttons are hard to push but other than that it was awesome.
