Very soothing, and remains smooth, and flavorful.

My lips are soft because of this amazing lip balm! I found this stuff probably over 5 years ago when nothing else worked to keep my lips from not going chapped. I went on a buying spree of all the lip balms on the market at the time and this was one of the ones in my purchases and the only one I really liked that worked incredibly well. I was really bummed when they stopped carrying the "sport" type in retail stores. Lucky for me, amazon carries it!What really sold me on it is that it isn't sticky feeling. The "sport" kind with the spf 30 is thinner feeling than the regular. It goes on really smooth and thin and doesn't feel sticky or waxy. It's not a heavy lip balm at all but it WORKS! The cooling effect feels nice on my lips. I often buy this 12pk and gift them away in the winter months! But I really use it year round with summer sun protection.One of my nieces had really chapped lips, so bad I remembered that it was red and irritated and flaky around her lips too. She tried a lot of different lip balms but nothing really worked so I gave her a tube of this stuff and within a few days of continuous use, her lips healed up and she says this is the best stuff ever! Every time one of my nieces come over, if they see a tube of this stuff laying around, they will use it and sometimes swipe it! Now I make sure I stock up so I don't ever go without. There's a tube of it in two of the purses I rotate on the regular plus a tube with my makeup case, one on my night stand and one on my desk...there may be a tube in my winter coat too!If you want really soft kissable lips, give this lip balm a try. I really LOVE this stuff, I just ordered another 12pk! :D

I forgot my typical brand on an outing. I needed to go to the drug store for mom. I wasn't really looking, I just grabbed a cherry ice. WOW!One try... I have never gone back. The application is smother and less "greasy" or "masky" than my others had been. It feel and tastes/smells refreshingly light. My favorite is cherry. A close second is the mint flavor (outdoor).The con... it can be just a bit hard to find. Many stores don't carry Mentholatum lip balm.It is worth the wait!

This was my go-to lip balm; I absolutely loved the flavor, consistency, and effectiveness. But the last time I purchased these I noticed that the tube packaging was slightly different, the flavor has changed, the consistency is softer and greasier, and it just doesn't work as well. So either this is a knock-off or they changed their formula. Either way, I won't be purchasing again.

This product really works well as it melts into your lips rather than just a wax based product which simply sits on your lips. Works extremely well

It seems like I have tried every lip balm on the market (seriously) and Mentholatum's Natural Ice chapsticks are the only lip balms I buy, because they are the only ones that 1-actually work and 2-don't just leave my lips feeling like I covered them with a waxy coating, trapping in all the dehydration and discomfort. The medicated menthol soothes (gives that icy-cool feeling) and moisturizes without making them even drier in the future. One application immediately starts to heal the chapping. The SPF is a plus; if I apply liberally for outdoor activities (ie beach), I don't get sun-related cold sores and such. It's not glossy, so my husband uses it too and is hooked. The Cherry flavor is my favorite, but the Original Natural Ice does the trick just as well, so flavor is just a preference and not a quality changer. I have never tried the "Sport" version, however. This product apparently is not available in my local stores anymore, so the only way I can get it is by ordering it online. That's okay, I don't mind being stocked up on this stuff; I always have a tube on hand, which is key because I use this stuff CONSTANTLY. And the price is pretty competitive here anyway. I'm so in love with my chapstick now that I won't even experiment with another lip balm ever again, and it's nice knowing I don't have to waste money on a mystery product, hoping it's decent.

This lip balm is a miracle worker, seriously. For the price, you can't go wrong. The menthol is soothing on chapped lips, and it really does make a difference. I've even applied some on chapped knuckles before, and it helped that as well. I've purchased this at least 3 times now.
