Olivia Garden Ceramic + Ion XL Pro Hair Brush - Paddle Brush for All Hair Types - Smooths and Adds Shine

I have been looking to replace my favorite 15 year old vented flat brush for years, but could never find anything exactly like it. I was so happy to see this one so decided to give it a try in spite of its somewhat high price. O-M-G...I wish I had found this years ago! I can't say enough good things about this brush. It is perfect sized, very light weight, yet very well made. I normally dislike the beaded ends on the bristles because they tend to snag my hair, but these are more tear drop shaped and are so smooth and comfortable. This brush is even better than my old brush because the face is slightly curved and it makes working with your hair very easy. I never even knew I would love that feature! I absolutely love this brush and would pay more for it if I had to. I can't recommend it highly enough.

My hair blow dries so quickly! I have thick medium length hair and it’s fine in 30-40 minutes. I even use it on dry hair! Great styling tool. It blow dries my hair so straight too!

Bought this two years ago. I have five daughters some of which have very thick wavy hair, some have fine, then straight hair some are in between. This really is the brush to get tangles out. The bristles are strong and glide through thick hair really well. It is everyone’s favorite brush even though the round tips have fallen off. Everyone notices that it takes lest time to brush their hair out with this brush. I’ve been trying to find something comparable to buy that is less money, but I can’t and I’m buying a replacement brush.

Best vented paddle brush out there. Really straightens. I want one everywhere like for travel and home. Wonderful

I have kinky 4c hair and this brush worked fairly well for me. I will say that this brush will start to deteriorate fast if you do have 4c hair because the bristles are not as sturdy as I had imagined, which is why I gave it 3 stars. It did dry my hair much faster than when I use a paddle/denman brush. I would highly recommend this brush for those whose hair isn't so kinky-coily, and if you are a kinky-coily hair type, don't expect the bristles to last long.

So, I ordered this brush after a long and at times frustratingly difficult search for a "non-curved" (i.e. basic paddle shape/only curved along 1 axis) vented paddle brush. I knew that with my very long, thick, strong and extremely fine hair that I would need a brush that had a lot of vented surface area as well as stiff . After finding only "curved" examples of this I finally stumbled upon this brush. It seems to work well, is indeed not rounded like some of the other options and has plenty of ventilation, but I have two main complaints: First: The bristles are not as stiff as I'm used to in my brushes and they don't really provide the resistance my hair needs to be detangles (esp. when wet) Second: the picture of this brush shows that it has a two sided barrel (i.e. from the top view there is a front face with the bristles attached and a back face which mirrors the front but w/o bristles) but the brush I received is has only a single surface with the bristles. I would have liked the extra strength and heft the back piece of plastic would have provided and indeed decided on this brush based upon the top view picture. It seems that perhaps Olivia Garden once sold this brush with the two-faced design but now all of the retailers and Olivia Garden website show only a single face. So BEWARE. Other than that, this is definitely exactly what I was looking for. Though I will still be on the hunt for a brush that can deliver as much as this one as well as avoid the two issues I had.

This is the best brush and the most durable brush Ive ever owned. I have thick, 4c, coily hair and it is very difficult for me to find a brush that not only lasts, but can actually brush all the way through my mane and detangle it. I've ordered so many different brushes, even popular ones in the same price range and this one works the best for me. I love the vent and hard ceramic, it makes detangling easy. In comparison to others on the market, I think this brush is definitely worth the money.

I have natural 4B/C type hair done this brush stand the test. It's quite durable and functions well for my thick hair. It's worth every penny. Good grip on the handle.
