Blackboard Multicolored Chalk - 60 Piece

This chalk is perfect for blackboards (I teach at university and I really need it): the colours are bright and easy to see and they are relatively easy to erase. It does break somewhat easily but this isn't much of a problem. Also, when the box arrived some chalks were broken in halves; this wasn't a problem for me as I usually break the chalk into two pieces (I find it easier to write) but I thought to mention it in case someone would absolutely hate it.

Wouldn't write on our chalkboard (made of chalkboard sticky backed paper). Had to use it on the concrete instead. Only the Melissa and Doug chalk is working on our type of chalkboard, maybe because it is softer chalk? Maybe it would work on a real slate chalkboard.

The other reviews are right. I took a chance. Since my need was lots of cheap chalk, I didn't care that many pieces were broken and the colors were dull (they brighten if the surface is wet). If you care about those things, look elsewhere. They packed it in a big box with lots of space and other items to smash around in and the chalk package is just a thin cardboard box, no bin like it shows.

There wasn't one whole piece of chalk in the box. Disappointing since it was bought as part of a gift... I ended up buying chalk at the dollar store and just tossed this in after the fact.

I ordered this based on the quantity and price, but after receiving I should have either bought something that has less in the box, or same quantity but higher priced. These chalks are the worst chalks I have ever used, and I have used a lot of chalk because I own an in-home daycare and have a chalkboard on the wall for my preschoolers to play with. The colors barely show up when you write with them, and the kids get frustrated and just throw them down on the ground. They have resorted to using the larger sidewalk chalks if they want to write on the blackboard because they can actually see something show up when they color. Seriously, save your money and go with something that your kids will actually use, because I promise you these are not worth even 1 dollar at the dollar store. They will never get played with.

A beautiful rainbow of chalks colours. Yellow, blue, pink, etc. All sorted in a practical cute plastic bucket. The chalks pressure on the blackboard is fine, which makes the writing process smooth. The dust caused from erasing the blackboard is limited, nearly to null effect. Shipping speed in the specified time frame. The product received in good condition, except for several chalks came not all in one piece, i.e. broken. All in all, good quality product.

You don't get what is in the picture....it's more like a book of dollar store chalk, half of them were broken and the box was taped completely....save yourself some shipping and go to the dollar store and get the same box....

From the picture I was expecting this to be a large bucket of chalk like you see sidewalk chalk sold in stores come in - but it is very small. None the less there are many colors and we use the bucket for the kids to put small objects in like bugs they catch. It came on time just wish it was bigger.
