All Notes Guide

So I will not lie to you, when I first opened them I was thinking "what the uckfway did I order the wrong thing". But these are perfect. A little misaligned but I chock that up to each violin being differently unique. Fit both my full size violins just as it should, clear and easy to read even from a playing position. And the side notation and tips are very useful reminders for beginners. Time will tell if they last long enough for the price.

this thing is great! you can't see the letters too well when you play, but it still is a good visual guide for where to put your fingers if you have an idea of what notes are on each string. I've been practicing songs while holding it like a mandonlin/guitar to get a little muscle memory down before putting my bow to it- and i found the sticker super helpful for that! I even accidentally stuck it a bit in a spot i didn't want it...but it peeled off easily and I was able to fix it. Will write back if/when I take it off.

I have been making violins for a while now, my own single maker instrument in the photos. I have had questions about finger tabs and guides, so I tested them out. This one is the winner in my personal and professional opinion. Ease of installation is very easy, there is a QR code for an installation video. I recommend following it for best success. It is important to know that the decal is single use only. After 30 minutes it cannot be removed without the decal stretched out of shape. Also don’t press the wings down until sure it is positioned correctly. I use a D’Addario tuner (can see it left of neck) to confirm violin is in tune and to check the position on the label. I am amazed by how accurate the decal is. Instructions do mention trimming the top of the label by small amount if not on tune, but I have not had to do that to get spot on results. If you have to remove it, my experience is residue free. However, if there is a little, you can use the decal to press on the residue and lift to remove it. I am quite happy with the results and will recommend it for those that ask me about a finger guide.

Can see it clearly while playing, and installation was easy. Only wish it included all of 3rd position and 4th position. But definitely a great starter.

Very good and easy to install. The only thing is that they should use a matte finish sticker instead of brilliant because sometimes it is not easy to read when playing. Great product anyway!

However I find I can feel tape on the fingerboard easier and it is a better finger guide for me.

This little sticker has been SO HELPFUL for learning to fiddle! I've always struggled with learning where notes fall on stringed instruments and it's insanely tricky to hit them properly on a violin. My fiddle teacher helped me install it, to make sure it was in just the right place, and it really works. I love it. As a side note, my fiddle teacher did recommend against it, because she thought a tactile note marker was better for learning on. However, I really love having the note names.

I personally think they are good for children and young people but not for adults. I believe an aspiring violinist should learn primarily by feel but if you are younger or even if you are older and just need a helping hand these are very good quality and very clear. Easy enough to apply but be careful. Enjoy your journey😊
