One of the best superman stories ever written
The art by Alex ross is phenomenal and story is just splendid. I can't really go into any details without spoiling the story but I'll say this that no DC fan should be without this book.

Magnificent
This book deserves the Absolute treatment and I got my hands on it ASAP and it is indeed euphoric reading Alex Ross' magnum opus in this beautiful format. I own the TPB and have gifted someone the Deluxe HC, but the uniqueness and beauty of Ross' art is much more appreciable here.

Be sure to pick the right seller (5 stars otherwise, obviously)
Had to buy this twice to get a decent copy. First with u-Read store which was terrible. The price was lowest of all sellers which became clear why later when I received it. It wasn't sealed copy. The slipcase was damaged with bad dents at pretty much every corner and scratches. Not a surprise if you are going to ship in flimsy paper packing without any bubblewrap or corrugated material. I returned it immediately and got a refund. Second was with Trans Infopreneur Inc. It wasn't a sealed copy this time around either but the packing was on point. The slipcase had one minor dent but luckily no scratches. And considering the price it is something I can live with. The graphic novel itself is a masterpiece. I don't think that needs to be said.

O formato "Absolute" é perfeito para artistas como Alex Ross. Seu trabalho é elevado à enésima potência. Sem falar que a história também é sensacional. Apesar de já conhecê-la, foi uma excelente aquisição. Um clássico moderno dos quadrinhos de heróis.

Un incontournable du comics moderne, magnifié par cette nouvelle édition.
Absolute Kingdom Come reste l’une des histoires les plus marquantes de DC : un ton mature, une vraie réflexion sur les héros vieillissants, et un univers plus sombre mais très cohérent. Même si on connaît déjà ce classique, cette New Edition apporte un vrai plus. Les illustrations d’Alex Ross ressortent encore mieux dans ce grand format : couleurs plus profondes, détails plus visibles, et un rendu presque “peinture” qui donne envie de prendre son temps sur chaque page. La qualité d’impression est vraiment bonne et le livre est solide en main. Le contenu bonus est intéressant : croquis, commentaires, making-of… même si certains lecteurs auraient aimé encore plus de matériel inédit, surtout pour une édition Absolute qui n’est pas donnée. 👉 En résumé, c’est une superbe édition pour ceux qui aiment les beaux ouvrages et les grands classiques DC. L’histoire n’a pas vieilli, l’art est sublime, et la présentation rend vraiment hommage au travail d’Alex Ross. Un excellent ajout à une collection, malgré un prix élevé.
