Monster Tower Wakeboard Wakesurf Rack with Retractable Mount - Quick Release, Universal Fit, 360° Rotation, Rubber Bumper, Shock Cord

Functionally I like this rack. The only complaint is that it slips. The mount that clamps your wake tower does not have a good grip. I had to tether a cinch strap to keep it from moving (lame). Ideally this should have a set-screw.NOTE: Yes I did degrease the clamp surfaces and the spacer inserts and NO it did not help.Update 1/15/2017: monster proactively reached out to me in order to help remedy the slippage problem. They sent me new 1-7/8" spacers as well. I am upping my score to 4 stars, for the customer support. Once the warmer weather comes I will test again and move score to 5 if all works outUpdate 8/1/2017: I added the new spacers and used an air-tool to get even torque when clamping to the wake tower. So far this has performed well. I have the racks loaded with boards and hitting some big wakes. They have not moved. At this point in time I'm going to move my review to 5 stars. Its a very good choice for adding adjustible rack space to your wake tower.At this time I have 2 racks, and 1 mirror mount which uses the same tower clamp. All uniform, looking and performing well.

For the value it does its job of holding a few boards on the boat. But it's angled more than others I've seen so that doesn't look great on my boat. It was easy to put up. It seems like it's good quality material that will hold up for a few years.

The rack itself seems to be high quality. The fit and finish look great. The problem is with the plastic spacers. The plastic spacers would slide around the metal tower. I added electrical tape to the tower to reduce slippage. Then the metal collar would slide around the plastic spacers. I considered electrical tape between the spacers and the collar but I don't want to rig the whole thing with tape. I don't see how the plastic spacers could ever work with the metal collar and a metal tower. Sending it back and looking for one with rubber spacers.

Don’t waste your money on this monster wakeboard rack, they give you plastic spacers to clamp to your tower and scratched my black tower all up and smacked my boards and rack against tower and put gouges in my tower and not worth the money you pay, I would recommend reborn racks or other that gives you rubber clamps and not plastic that will never stay. Do not buy this product

We purchased this monster tower fkr our brand new 2024 Monterey 224FS. We followed the instructions on the installation only to have the tower tilt and slide leaving gouge marks on our tower. I cranked down on the bolt using the tool the set came with, but they loosened while on the water. Had it not been for my quick reaction, we would have lost our board as well.Now we are stuck with deep gashes on our brand new boat.

Bought this on the monster tower website with the swivel mount. Ordered the 1 7/8" aluminum insert, but it doesn't fit. Contacted monster four times without a response. Phone and email don't appear to work, poor customer service. Ready to send it back for a refund.
