Perfect utensil designed for Parkinson’s patients
This is the perfect utensil for my mother who has Parkinson’s. I previously ordered the spork. This is not a weighted utensil (my preference) and the design is perfect since tremors many times prevent her from turning a traditional utensil toward her mouth successfully. Made for left or right handed.

It is helpful
As someone who suffers from significant tremors, I certainly struggle with getting food from my plate to my mouth - especially when adding the stress of eating in public. I have tried weighted silverware but it just did not work for me, did not alleviate the problem at all. This product is very lightweight and certainly is not the prettiest. But it is the best I have found so far. Something about it angling in towards my mouth just seems to help. It's not a miracle worker but it helps. At least for me.

Good for disabled people
My husband has lost the ability to grip things such eating utensils due to MS. He is self conscious about asking for help when eating. This spoon has a thick, study handle that's shaped and angled in such a way that makes it easier to feed himself. It's seems quite durable and is dishwasher safe. The bowl of the spoon is notched to help with minor cutting. It's important to note that it's only usable with a person's left hand. Right-handed people need to get one that bends the opposite way. I wish the handle was dimpled, thus making it more secure to hold and that it was a brighter color to make it easier to spot in a crowded drawer, but those are minor things.

Great Product
I love how convenient this spoon is for my vision impaired brother who has mobility difficulties on his right side. He is able to feed himself with ease.

Left-handed spoon
Size of the spoon was a little closer to tablespoon size; a bit to large for my petite, elderly mom to use. Well constructed though

Great for elderly mom
I've been using specialty silverware with thick handles for my 97 year old mom who has dementia. She still tries to feed herself as much as possible but I noted she was having trouble getting food in her mouth and was eating from side of spoon, spilling most food. I got her this offset spoon in hopes of her having less difficulty. She didn't like it at first and I suppose she was having a hard time with how funny it looked. I fed her with it for a few days and found the offset easier for me too. She finally started using it and it works wonderfully for her. I'll be purchasing more.

not what i needed
This item is great. Did not come defective. I would say it can get slippery when wet. However my dad did not approve of it. He suffers from chronic arthritis. He said the utensil was too heavy to use. The concept is great but it was uncomfortable for him to use causing him low level of pain. He has been using plastic utensils but even like that he has trouble getting the food into his mouth. Its a 5 star because the spoon itself is good. Its not defective. Great concept. But what is not heavy for me is unfortunately heavy for him and that is not the manufactures fault
