I don’t know why you cannot find Tamarind sauce around here. No markets, not even the ethnic ones, carry this sort of product. This is the perfect sauce for goodies like samosas. Very tasty! Please keep this sauce available!!

First off, kudos to whomever packaged this. The bottle was bubble wrapped with several layers, then covered in plastic wrap and placed in a small cubical cardboard box. It probably would have survived a drop from a 10 story building. Arrival May 2020, best by August 2021. I bought it specifically to pair with papadums and naan. This would probably be excellent in a breakfast burrito, delicious on a cheese platter, great for pizza crust dipping, and a fantastic topping for baked potatoes and onions.

This bottle is extremely small, it’s a surprise when you open it, very expensive, it’s also very watery and thin, so it doesn’t go very far and it doesn’t have the best flavor that you would expect from a nice tamarin date sauce Do not recommend you buying this

Yummy great product

This was a very tasty sauce and I enjoyed it with tofu. The bottle is not very big and was gone with the 2 or 3 meals I got out of it.

Tastes great

Really good sauce. It's a very strong date and tamarind taste. It's a bit too sweet for me from the dates, they didn't need to add sugar, but it's in there. I didn't expect 7oz to be such little sauce though. And the bottle wasn't full, but it was sealed and packaged really good in a glass bottle, wrapped in bubble wrap and in a box. This is made in Houston, Texas, so it shouldn't be as expensive as it is, although it says "authentic Indian product". This is Tamarind Sauce, not Tamarind Paste as another reviewer thought. The box that it comes in says "premium quality cooking pastes" but I think that's just a general statement for their pastes and sauces. On the bottle and in the item description it says "Date Tamarind Sauce", exactly what I ordered.

Hard as a rock. Old product? Couldn’t get it out of the bottle?! Ended up in the garbage.
