Catnapper Maverick Swivel Glider Recliner - Java

Had a LazyBoy now have an American Furniture "Catnapper". I am 6 feet tall and currently weigh in at about 250 lbs and have had a remodeled spine injury from way back and before LazyBoy had always had a problem getting a really good recliner. LazyBoy was OK but I love this Recliner! It's easy to use! You don't need the lever to put the chair into a upright position, just push with your legs as you sit up the recliner is upright and that's it!!! It swivels and rocks and great for watching TV from the "recline" position.

Love this chair but the leather marks easily and the back drops when wanting to just sit up while reclined

The chair is very comfortable and was easy to assemble. Inboxed it, inserted the back onto the base, and velcroed the back flap per the instructions. It reclines quite easily and the "Catnapper" name is an appropriate fit. I would have given it 5 stars, but even though it reclines easily, it doesn't come back to the upright position with that same ease. I cannot go to upright using the handle alone. I actually have to start pushing down with my legs at the same time. I don't know if it will wear in over time or not. Overall it is all I had in mind when l ordered it. This is an update to my original review. Chair is now 2 years old and I have a problem with the simulated leather covering. The material, at a spot in the center of the back, started to wrinkle a few weeks ago, and then the other day it started to tear and separate from the cushion. I checked my warranty, but the covering is not warranted. I have ordered a vinyl patch kit from Amazon. Will try that when it arrives. But I think I have to drop a star from my original rating due to the covering wearing out after two years.

This chair has all the comfortable innovations any one would ask for in a manual system. I have a neck injury and spend a great deal of time in my chair and also sleep most of the time in it as well. The manual operation is smooth, and variable, I enjoy the smooth seams, soft flawless leather, the cushions are well in forces thick memory foam and are very comfortable I,m very pleased with this Catnapper Maverick recliner, we are considering the matching sofa

Very comfortable, good size (not oversized) looks great with my real leather couch set and so functional. Needed swivel and recline for an odd space. Perfect! Does need alot of room to lean all the way back. Rocks, too....
