Does the Fluke 324 measure DC Amps via the clamp?

I am posting for other readers, One person who answered stated you can not read DC current with a clamp, this meter is AC current only but they do make clamps that can measure DC current, they are considerably more expensive, I own one and it I have used it on 12Volt Dc systems (cars) and it works pretty good.

Hello, it says made in the USA in the product information on this page--is that true or is it made in China like the review says below?

I checked my Fluke and nowhere on the item says anything about the country of manufacture. How ever I still had the box in which it was enclosed and on checking it was marked "Made in China". So I would assume that this item was made in China.

How is the temperature taken? Contact or infrared?

Fluke 324 takes temperature by contact, it uses a thermocouple.

Can the temp prob be calibrated by the owner? Can it read negative numbers? i.e. Freezer temps?

The 325 will only go down to 14 degrees F and the meter lacks an offset adjustment. If the customer has access to a metrology lab we do publish the calibration procedures. Probes would typically be verified by a drywell calibrator.
