absolutely worth it over harborfreight
I try to do home projects on a tool/equipment budget since theres a high chance i won't need toreuse the items in the near future. I needed to break down some large stones to level out our lawn requiring drilling holes in the boulder and sledgehammering in the spikes to force a crack to split. So obviously I ended up at harborfreight and got a sds hammer drill and their sds rock bits. Boy was that a mistake. Harborfreights bits wore out almost instantly and had a different head design. After suffering with a dull bit and not realizing it, I bought this on a whim and it cuts through stone like butter and already has surpassed the harborfreight bits by at least 5x longevity and is still going strong. Should you get this? Yea its no brainer, save yourself the agony of working with subpar dull bits and in the end this becomes cheaper than rebuying HF bits over and over as ive sadly learned the hardway. Note: the warranty thing is kind of misleading. Its warrantied against breakage not wear so when the bit is dull its not gonna be a free replacement, only happen if the bit breaks off a chunk or something while it still has life. But this is a good thing considering the bit is made of a harder material to ensure its more resilient especially in comparison to HF bits.

drills through rock
needed to split the boulder so used this drill bit to drill the holes. only needed 6 holes, drilled like butter through the rock. cant vouch for a long term use, but definitely worth it the money for home diy projects.

Handled drilling some tough concrete with no problem.
I was drilling into some 60 year old concrete slab that was super hard to drill into to set rebar. I purchased several 5/8" Bosch bits from HD and the tips actually burned out and deteriorated in the 2nd hole I drilled. I bought 2 of these figuring it would be the same thing. Fortunately these were made much better than the Bosch and did the trick. I only used 1 bit and it tore through approximately 40 holes at 3" deep and still looks nearly new. Would highly recommend.

Works good
Works great drilling into granite boulders here in New Hampshire. After each hole I dip it in water to try and keep it cool. I don't push or add force to the drill, just let it do its job which takes less than 30 seconds to drill a hole 8 inches deep into these hard rocks.

Dewalt certified Hammer screw tip!
Definitely, Something I would buy again. No cracks on the bit. Get's the job done if you have a good drill to go with it.

Good for 8-10 holes before needs sharpening
Bought one bit, drilling various types of stones in the field, after about 8 holes the speed at which the holes are drilled slowed notably. Used a green grinding wheel (TRUPER PIES-6160T 6" Silicon Carbide Bench Grinding Wheel) to sharpen and was good for another 8 holes. Came back and purchased another 4 bits so that I can drill up to 40 holes before heading back into the shop to spend 5 minutes sharpening a total of 5 bits. .

This along with a hammer drill cut concrete like butter
I tried an old 5/8" masonry bit and standard drill to put some holes in my garage slab. I gave up after 10 minutes and not-quite one hole. I bought a hammer drill and this bit, and made all three holes (3 inches deep) in about 5 minutes. Weeks later, I had to replace rotten bottom plates (2x4s) in my home. I also needed to install the base for two new shower pan curbs (stacked 2x4s). These required 1/2" threaded anchors which need deep 5/8" holes in the slab. I drilled 10 more holes with no slow down or dulling. Seems this drill bit is a lifetime investment.

Sunk about 100 holes in granite before the carbide tip fell out. There was extensive oxidation between the steel and the braze which no doubt caused the poor bond. The carbide is only retained by a L step in the steel bit compared to the HILTI bits that have a full C around it, which provides much more surface area for the brazing.

Worked as intended with a hammer drill on a variety of hardnesses on stone. Drilled easily to full depth of the drill. No detectable loss of performance after drilling about 20 holes.
