Good quality
Microphone works great with PC, grrat sound quality. I tried it with Android and it worked when using the audio programs, but didn't work when using Teams on Android. Great price for a powerful little tool. The long cable is very helpful, gives you a little room to move when using. I use it mostly with OBS screen recorder and when the Mic sensitivity is turned up, it worke great.

Great Mic for Mobile Content Creation – Perfect Companion for Pixel 9 Pro! (4 Stars)
I picked up the Cubilux USB-C Lavalier Mic to improve the audio quality for my YouTube videos, and it’s been a great addition to my gear setup. I pair it with my Pixel 9 Pro using the Android Voice Recorder app, and it integrates seamlessly with the Canon R100 video feed in post. This setup has really elevated the clarity of my audio—especially for interviews, narration, and walk-and-talk style segments. The mic captures clean, balanced sound with very little background noise. The 5-foot cord is a perfect length for mobile shooting, and the USB-C connection is rock solid—no adapters or fuss. For the price, the sound quality is outstanding and rivals much more expensive clip-on mics. The only reason I'm giving this 4 stars instead of 5 is the noise filter (foam windscreen), which tends to slip off a bit too easily. It’s not a deal-breaker, but it’s something to keep an eye on during shoots. Overall, this mic is a fantastic budget-friendly option for creators using USB-C devices. Highly recommended for mobile video production!

Terrible audio quality
Terrible quality! The audio on my video faded in and out! Very displeased! Can’t redo the video! When I tested it, it worked great!

USB-C…. And there is a unidirectional version as well.
Plugged it into my MacBook Pro and it was excellent, especially value for price.

Works With Pixel 2, Read Updated Instructions, Very Quiet
Update: I originally had trouble using this microphone with my Pixel 2 XL, but now got it to work. Follow the instructions in the Product Description for the USB C mic and it should work in your default Camera app for Pixel phones. The key was to make sure I removed Camera from my recently used apps before attempting to connect. I have bumped my rating from 2 to 3 stars. I would like to give it 4, but the low volume of the mic as well as the lack of response to my original support email is problematic. Cubilux was quick to reply to my review on Amazon however, so I give them praise for that. If you need support, I would attempt to reach them on Amazon. This is basically the only affordable USB C mic available. It plays well with 3rd party apps. The sound quality does seem good with little background noise, but it is very quiet overall and you will likely need to boost it in post. It actually does pick up environmental noise, but at quite low volume. You can read my full original review below. My final verdict is that this is a great mic for lapel usage or very close proximity recording. If I have better luck with general video recording in the future, I will update my review. Original Review: I bought this to improve audio quality in videos made with my Pixel 2 XL. Unfortunately, I can find no way to use the microphone with the default Google Camera app. The microphone does work with the 3rd party app Open Camera. I also tried it with the audio only app Voice Recorder and it worked. It will probably work with other apps as well, but I have not tried. The next problem with the microphone is that recording volume is too quiet. Works well as a lapel mic, but if moved further than a foot or two from your face, it's very quiet. I will say the audio quality seems quite good, with little background noise. Build quality seems good, metal microphone and clip, very thin and flexible cord. Longevity is unknown since I have used it very little. Includes lapel clip, Velcro strap, dead cat, foam cover, and small carrying bag. Overall, I cannot recommend this mic for smart phone users with USB C. The exception is if you plan to use it exclusively as a lapel mic. I am very disappointed it does not work well with the Pixel 2 as advertised. I also contacted Cubilux customer service through their website, which funny enough shows the Pixel 2 XL in their advertising images. I have received no response weeks later. I really wanted to like it, but it has basically added hassle. Crazy how hard it is to find a USB C microphone that is actually smart phone compatible. Pros: -Good sound quality -Low noise audio -USB C connection -Metal construction -Decent accessories -Works with some apps -Good lapel mic -Low price Cons: -Does not fully work with Pixel 2 -Too quiet especially at distance -Questionable compatibility -Questionable advertising -Poor customer service

Works well, you just have to use a different app to the default camera
The mic works well, I can see a very clear increase in sound quality when I use it. However most android apps, including the default camera and recorder on my Pixel 2XL, just ignore the external mic and use the internal one. OpenCamera is a good free app, where if you go into Settings -> Video you can select an option for it to use an external microphone. Once I did this my videos had great audio. Another one that works is Cinema FV5, but the free version seemed a bit more clanky than Open Camera in the two minutes that I used it.

Poor quality
I make YouTube videos and needed a better mic for quite vlog phone videos. This mic is terrible and created a crackling background noise on every video filmed. In the end, the built-in mic on the Google Pixel 3 is better, as agreed by a few thousand viewers!
