Pentair 521248Z Power Center Fuse Holder Kit Replacement IntelliChlor Pool and Spa Salt Chlorinator Sanitizers

This was a fairly difficult project to replace. Space inside the box is limited and made it difficult to do. My original had a thick spacer that I had to salvage from the old holder and working space was cramped. You also have to watch the specs closely on your existing model. There are several versions of this box and they can use both different shape and amp ratings on the fuse. This came with a 2 amp fuse, so I had to find a 10 amp slo-blow fuse for my unit. I would recommend cleaning the electrical contacts on the external plug and socket as mine were fairly corroded. Possibly what cause the original fuse holder to overheat.

Is not easy to replace it because is a very small place to work

Replaced fuse assembly in Pentair Power Center. Older models have this in-line fuse assembly. Not an easy installation unless you remove the Power Center from the wall. The fuse assembly is in the back right corner against the wall and behind the power out connector assembly. Screws are tiny.Be sure to use 1/4" by 1 1/4" 10 amp slow blow fuse with the assembly. Out of the blue my Pentair salt cell had no power. I've had it for years and never had that problem. I was concerned the cell was DEAD. But after watching a YouTube video it showed it could be a bad fuse. I ordered it late afternoon and received it the next day :-) I was not expecting it that soon as the delivery date showed it would be a few days. It's a tight space where it's installed but it worked like a champ. Now my salt cell is back online.

Fuse blew immediately when I turned it on. Pulled the new fuse to see what the problem might be and that’s when I saw that the product shipped with a 2A fuse and not the proper 10A. Cheap fix, but an annoyance to say the least. Make sure to check the fuse before you install it.

The kit was just what I was looking for, and the only challenge was the position of the fuse holder within the control box. It's a bit tricky (mine was) to secure the fuse holder while tightening the unit. With a little patience it can be 'mastered', and the entire project only took about 20 minutes after opening the control door. It's a 'no-brainer' !

Replaced fuse with entire little kit casing with new fuse, old one was too corroded. Great fix for under $35 vs $500 to replace entire salt cell generator.Happy pool part fixing.

Product was as advertised and corrected the problem. Small cramped install space if you want to install it as suggested. I left the old piece in its place and simply disconnected the wires, attached them to the new fuse holder and tucked it in the metal box. Much simpler! The old fuse broke off in the holder so I needed the whole new holder.
