Easy to use! Great Product!
I have tried several other programs for bulk blank check printing for my company, and this one was by far the best. It is super simple to use and really straightforward. I would recommend it to anyone looking for something like this. I have accounting software that prints on my preprinted checks, but I lost my previous program. This one was a great buy!

Not quite ready for prime time - actually quite bad
The software is buggy not really ready for prime time. This may very well be the worst written program I have ever used. First problem is you must have an Internet connection to run the program. If you don't, it will just sit there on a splash screen. No error messages, no instruction, no red "X" to back out and close down. Nothing. The programmer did not have any foresight as to 'error handling' so as to provide a way out. The only way out is to use Task Manager to end the task until you get an internet connection ready and start over. Second, you can not install it in C:\Program Files or C:\Progam Files (x86) unless you go into your computers Advanced Security settings and change the security attributes. I didn't want to do that so I installed it on a D:\ drive partition under D:\ Programs - Data that I have set up for situations like this one. So that works. Third problem in the settings it says you can set up a database anywhere you want. Well, not so fast. It has a "Browse" button, but when you direct it to a directory you have set up, in my case D:\Print Checks Pro db, you will get a 'File Not Found' error. So here you have to go into your users directory, in my case C:\Users\JH\AppData\Local\PrintChecks and copy the contents of that into your custom folder. Once you have done that you now need to tell the "Browse" button (remember the Browse button?) to go that folder and specifically browse to the file named 'register.rdb'. Fourth problem is after you have done all that, there is a “Print Test Page” button. If you press that you will get a momentary screen indicating printing, but nothing happens, and you are stuck with this window open on your computer that you cannot get rid of. Everything is disabled on the current windows on the forefront of the screen. The red “X” won’t close it, and in fact any button press on your PC will result in the windows error bleep. If you open Task Manage it will show up hidden behind these screens making it somewhat impractical to get out. However, there will appear a checks ‘preview screen’ but it also is under the windows currently displayed in the forefront. It is under the current window, but it is actually the window which currently has focus and you can red “X” out from there. Really weird. You really can’t do anything from this point because the windows on top never did let you see the preview screen beneath. Fifth problem: When setting up accounts, you must include a routing number of 9 digits. Even if you are using pre-printed bank issued personal checks with routing numbers already on them. And this must be done for each account. In our case, we have three people in our office who will need their own account for writing checks, and we write checks from over a dozen different checking accounts. Wow, what a hassle and waste of time. You will also need to add a starting check number so I put in “1”. but that doesn't work. You need a branch location even though you have checked the boxes that say I am using pre-printed checks and don’t print any lines on the checks. So after jumping through these hoops you try to save and get a message of this: Save Error Invalid Account number Invalid Starting Check number Invalid Bank Name Invalid Bank Address Invalid Owner Name Invalid Owner Address So you can't leave any of these blank. It says “Invalid Starting Check number” when the field in the setting page is actually “Next Check Number” Okay, I put in 100 for that and just put in any bogus settings for the rest, like Acct no. : 123456789 Starting check : 100 Bank name: Any bank USA Bank Address: Anywhere USA Owner name: Me myself Owner Address: Anywhere USA And now I can save my account. You can't leave any of these blank. It is not up to you. It is up to the amateur who wrote this thing that you MUST fill in these fields. Sixth problem The check register is not written in plain text. That means you cannot keep a copy in notepad. Nor can you edit it in Notepad. Seventh problem Since the register is not written in plain text, there is no way to clear it and start with a clean slate. We like to save our check registers in plan text by the year, and start a new one every year. You cannot do that with this program. There is no option. Your check register will just keep growing throughout the years. The only one way to do that is to save a clean new copy of the 'register.rdb' file before you use the program and save it for each new year. Each year, you would remove the old 'register.rdb' and save it, and put in the blank one for the new year. At this point I am ready to ask the programmer, You kidding me? And then there is the flow. The program does not flow well at all. For a program that is to help you be organized, it is written by someone who is not organized at all. In fact there are some windows that cannot be minimized or backed out of, and occupy a large amount of real estate on your screen. So if you need to look at another window, maybe a credit card statement or something, you can't. You have to close the program and start all over. Final Evaluation: Not ready for prime time. Not well behaved. Not organized. Obviously not written by seasoned programmers. Very, very amateur programmers wrote this. A kid taking programming in school could write a better program. Just really terrible. I got this because we need to print on pre printed standard size bank issued personal checks, and there aren't many options in finding a program to do that. I agree with another Amazon reviewer who stated that it really should priced at about $4.99. I had a freeware program before this one called Check Writer. You could print on pre-issued bank checks from as many different accounts you want. It kept a check register in plain text that you could go back and edit. Nothing fancy but way ahead of this thing!

Great SIMPLE check printing program.
I was looking for a SIMPLE program to print blank checks. This is GREAT. It JUST works! Within a couple of minutes I was able to print the blank checks I needed. It allows for multiple accounts (I have only put one in yet) It allows to print checks with all fields filled out (I have only printed blanks to write later)

Great Check Writing Program!
I just installed this program, printed my first checks with it and found it very easy to install and use. It will print a stub copy below the actual check which was a relief to know, as I didn’t see that in the listing detail, but “assumed” it did. The blank checks for this are available on Amazon as well. I’d recommend it for simple check printing. It does keep a check register as well that you can print out.

Avoid this product, didn't work on Windows 11 shouldn't get any stars at all
Avoid this product: Used a previous version on Windows 10 for four years with good results. That version ceased working when Windows 10 support ceased and Windows 11 became required. This new software would not work on a new computer having pre-installed Windows 11. Product would not work. Installed and re-installed multiple occasions. On the programs/apps it would list it only as "Print Checks Pro Installation" ??? I started on PCs using DOS and never had such a description of a supposedly installed program. I could enter info for a check, when I went to print, I got a popup stating that an error had occurred and couldn't get a print. Contacted the company, they replied with a fix that I tried but didn't work. When I told them that Windows Firewall log showed that it had blocked their program, they stated that that couldn't possibly be correct. Haven't heard from them since. In sum, this product is less worthless, it's harmful in that I spent valuable money and multiple, multiple hours trying to get it to work. If you get this, I hope your result will be better.

Too Expensive
While this software does what I wanted, I think I probably could have found a "shareware" product that would have worked as well. There's nothing special about it and it's not entirely intuitive in use. I think it should have been priced at about $4.99 rather that what it was. It's just not that good!

It will print checks
I purchased this to print checks to be filled in by hand. There is no manual, but tutorials which are very specific and did not answer my questions. Print Check Pro allows you to move your name & address, the bank's name and address and gives you the choice of business, standard wallet or mailable wallet forms. There is no option to move the items on these forms e.g. date, amount of the check, written amount or signature line. The standard wallet form works for me but not the best and the mailable wallet leaves a lot of space for the recipient's information and therefore crowds the rest of the check. I will use it but will continue to look for something better.

A cheque writing program should be simple and straightforward. This one is obtuse and idiotic. Page 1 should say: Which blank cheques are you using? Instead a cheque register that doesn't respond to anything comes up. You can click on "design cheques" tab but that doesn't do anything useful like easily entering your name and address or even a cheque number. Returning.
