sweet as cover
My new job is working out on the beach where sand is, you guessed it, everywhere and my hands in particular. I have to use my personal phone and wanted to prevent sand from getting into my iphone. This little pouch does wonders! I'm just sorry I didn't think to get something like it earlier when I was working my previous field jobs. I can work all the settings of my phone and use the touch screen no problem. If it rains or sea water splashes on it, I don't worry at all. Most importantly, when I've been digging in the sand and need to call back to the office to confirm things I don't worry that the screen is gonna get gunked up or the speakers infiltrated my sand or dust. I do have to say after using it for several months now, I'm finding it harder to slide the phone in and out but I think the inside is a little dirty and I just need to wipe it clean because the two sides stick together preventing the phone from sliding down nice. To fix this problem, I just stick a pencil into the case while I'm inserting the phone to break the seal the sides have on each other and all is right as rain. Also, I take plenty of pictures and they come out great despite the fact there's the clear plastic between the lens and the subject. If you work in the field or just like to play in the field and are looking to protect your phone from the elements I say go ahead and purchase this bad boy! It's been over a year since I purchased this product and I have to say, I really couldn't be happier. I'm still working in the field and it's nice to know my phone is safe from sand, salt, water, rain and other dirt and grime.

Perfect!
I ordered this Aquapac so I wouldn't have to rent a locker every time we go to the local theme park. I get the craziest looks when I step into the wave pool (or any water) with this around my neck carrying my Android phone. It works perfectly, and I trust it. It comes with a 5 year warranty, so I am certain I will get at least a summer's worth of use out of it. I can use the phone and take great pictures while it's in the case and I'm in the pool. I love it! Highly recommended. (I also purchased the little dry packet things to absorb any moisture when I initially seal the phone inside.) UPDATE: My new puppy got a hold of my Aquapac, so I ordered another one, just to be safe. Funny enough, I have been using the one the pup got a hold of to hold my car key and ID with no leakage problems! Maybe we just got it away from him before he could do any damage...either way, impressive. Kinda wishing I hadn't purchased the new one now...it has only been used once. LOL.

Great for everything but the camera.
The good: This product does exactly what's promised. It keeps your phone nice and dry while retaining complete usability for all the buttons and the touchscreen. It also doesn't seem to muffle the sound much. It kept my phone nice and dry on my recent visit to the rain forests and beaches of Costa Rica. The case and laureate seemed more than sturdy enough. I felt comfortable hanging the case around my neck while ziplining in places where dropping the phone would mean never finding it again. The laureate is also easy to remove. The best feature is how easy it is to open and close it securely. All the other similar products I've tried, specifically the Trendy Digital Kindle and Ipad cases, are essentially fancy ziplock bags which are a pain to open and close and once closed you are never completely sure you've done it correctly. With the Aquapac closing and opening it is easy thanks to the two levers and I felt comfortable that it was fully closed every time. The bad: The back of the case is opaque except for a square in the center of it whereas the front is completely clear. The issue with this is that it blocks the camera. To use the camera you have to slide the phone around inside the case to ensure the lens is in the clear square. I'm not sure why Aquapac chose to do this as it must have been extra effort and doesn't seem to add any functionality. I was excited at the idea of taking videos with my iPhone 4 by hanging it around my neck in the case while ziplining, playing in the waves, etc, but because of the opaque back this never worked. The laureate is a thick bright yellow/green ugly string which while durable also makes you look like a complete dork if you hang it around your neck. Of course, hanging your phone around your neck in any situation is pretty dorky so this isn't necessarily a show stopper. Plus it is, as mentioned above, easy to remove and attach the laureate. If this is used somewhere hot and humid the humidity in the air trapped in the case when you close it will eventually fog up the plastic. It never did this to the point of making it unusable but it did cause the phone to get wet all on it's own but only slightly. As it shows in the picture it does have a somewhat large hard plastic seal at the top. This adds bulk and makes it less comfortable in your pocket, it also made it not fit in some of the cell phone pockets in my bags. All similar products seem to have this issue though. In summary: All in all this is a great product. Based on my experience with it and other similar items I would heartily recommend this for use in wet situations. If it wasn't for the camera issue I would have given it five stars. Caveat - I never submerged it entirely for any length of time so I don't know how truly waterproof it is when submerged for more than a few seconds.

Waterproof, light, can use phone while in Case
I'm a sailor and also a sailing instructor and like having my phone on me while teaching in the case of an accident or injury of a student. I have an iphone and do not want it anywhere near the water for obvious reasons. Thus I bought this case. It has worked very well. Although I cannot fit the phone in the case with the cover I have on the phone, it fits well bare or with a smaller hard case. I have been pleased with the functionality of the phone through the case, fully usable and no loss of touch sensitivity. The speakers work well though the case also, can carry on a normal conversation. Great case and fully waterproof.

some small level water leaked inside the pouch on first use - NOT recommended
I have been very surprised by the quality of this product. While the system look very professional on photo, the plastic protection itself is actually particularly thin. When I used it the first time I realized some water leaked inside the pouch. Not much but enough to get into my iphone and damage the audio speaker temporarily. My brief analysis is that the clamping system to seal the pouch is not strong enough, and as the plastic is very thin, water can get in in some situations. I will never use again that pouch, and buy another one from another vendor. NOT recommended.

Buen precio y buenos acabados.
