Yixing Zisha Purple Clay Purple Sand Tea Pot, Zi Sha Teapot, 5" H

This clay tea pot was on my long-wanted list since years ago, so happy to find on Amazon. I am a tea person and enjoy the fresh tea brewed from authentic loose tea leaves. A high quality tea pot is very important, this one is not fancy nor with advanced technology, but it does what I am expecting. It brought my memory to childhood in China's life, there, tea is part of the everyday life.

It’s smaller than I expected but still nice

Very badly finished, especially on the handle, there are sharp copper wire ends on the handle. Also 4 days late on delivery which I paid extra for. Will return.

Looks like it would have been useful, unfortunately it arrived broken. It was packaged in a surprisingly flimsy box with no bubble wrap and a very tiny bit of foam wrap.

Works nice but the only concern is the holes in the clay screen are too large and when I prepare Vietnamese cinnamon tea, the granules are small and get through the clay strainer. I improvised by using a stainless steel strainer but then i have to add much more water since the alternate steel strainer is a bit shorter although it does fit the pot opening well. With some other teas, that are fluffier strands the clay strainer works as intended. I would still recommend this pot as the candle concept works well and allows slower sipping and enjoyment as the tea remains hot.
