Interesting
Great but i wish it came as 2 books so you could write answers independently then trade and discuss. It would encourage more honesty and real answers. It takes time and effort but i really believe in doing your relationship homework so everything can run smoothly and you can see the areas where there might need to be more compromise or discussion. I really love the layout but as i say, 2 workbooks versus one would be helpful as you are both writing in the same thing and it therefore takes more time and i think it mmakes it easier to just agree with your partner, which isn't really the point of the book

Good exercises though sometimes a bit depressing
Working through this, good exercises to reconnect with your partner though they sometimes seem to focus on the downs in life more than the ups.

It's okay...
I usually enjoy The School of Life's work and perspectives on topics however this book isn't what I'd call a 'workbook'. I'm a Therapist and I found there to be WAY too much waffle in the way of activities and summaries of what they should achieve. If you're coming at this as a workbook then be prepared to be disappointed and overwhelmed with overly whimsical and embellished versions of love. It does remind me of someone who enjoys the sound of their own voice in book form, rather than instructive, informative, conscise and achievable. Ultimately a nice looking and sounding coffee table book perhaps but not that practical for all.

I'm impressed by the quality of this book. Not only does it look beautiful, the exercises and reflections are extremely well thought and foster in-depth, honest conversations. Not cheesy at all, which was my fear initially with this kind of book. My partner and I are finding it very useful to take some perspective, understand each other better and connect after 7 years of relationship.

The Couples Workbook by The School of Life is an excellent tool for staying connected in a relationship. I’ve already mentioned how much I appreciate the work of The School of Life, and this workbook is no exception. It’s designed to help couples remain in tune with one another, which I think is crucial for a successful marriage. Humans are constantly growing, evolving, and changing, and this workbook acknowledges that. It encourages you to sit down, actively listen, and engage with your partner through challenging but meaningful questions. My wife and I have found it incredibly helpful—it’s not just about solving problems but about maintaining a strong, healthy connection. I’ve recommended this book to several friends and couples because I think everyone, regardless of the state of their relationship, could benefit from it. It’s not just a tool for when things are rocky; it’s a proactive way to keep learning about and understanding each other. Our lives are busy with careers, kids, and everything else, but this book reminds us to prioritize our relationship. After all, our family exists because of the bond we share, and this workbook helps us nurture that bond. If you’re in a relationship, I can’t recommend this book enough. It’s a great investment in your connection, no matter where you are in your journey together.

Its such a pessimistic and hard view towards relationships, strange approach, brought not only sometimes fights but depressing feelings like no one can really enjoy living together, i regret I bought this book… i had ti throw away , didn’t help us at all…just made kind of worst …
