Lots of fun!
My 18 month old daughter loves this toy! We spend a lot of time playing with it. She is too young to make the shapes on her own. So I sit with her and make all the food shapes for her. We have lots of fun identifying the food shape and feeding the monster. We have not started using the letter shapes yet. She loves the part that the cookie monster actually eats! I would certainly recommend this toy if you enjoy playing with playdoh.

way overpriced!
My 2 year old granddaughter loves this toy. She watches the video ad on an ipad over and over, so I wanted to get it for her 2nd birthday. Couldn't find it in the store. It must be discontiinued. So, I found it at Amazon. Other similar play-doh sets sell for less than half the cost (I paid $74 for this one). It contains 4 small play-doh packs and a plastic cookie monster, plastic fork, knive and spoon, and cut-out alphabet letters, as well as a few other plastic tools to shape the clay-doh. I feel that I really got gouged on the price, but I must say that my granddaughter absolutely loves the toy! I would purchase it again if I had a do-over, but am resentful of having to pay this extravagant price.

Fun, but a bit labor-intensive
My son received this for his third birthday. He loves Cookie Monster and playing with letters. It is a very cute product, but is a bit over my son's head. He isn't very proficient at using the molds to make the letters or any of the many foods you can create. It is not something that he can play with alone for this reason, but it would be great for children who are old enough to manipulate the molds effectively. It is a great activity for us to do together. Overall, we are happy with our purchase and know our son will like it more as he gets older.

Cookie Monster play-Doh FUN
My 2 year old son loves this. It came with 4 small play-doh colors, a small rolling pin for rolling out Doh, a spoon, knife, and fork that cookie monster can hold or can be used for "eating". The ABC presses are great and have made learning his letters even more fun. There are all kinds of food presses (cookies, banana, apple, vegis). He loves to make "food" and "feed" Cookie Monster. When you close the mouth the Doh drops through the hollow body and sits at the bottom of his backside (where there is an opening) making finding it and clean up easy. Just remember to get the Doh out of there before putting it away or it will be hard the next time you play. I have given as a gift as well and it has been popular with his friends as well.

I think they stopped making this and... that... is... a... travesty!!!
We got this for my son on his 3rd birthday and it was the best $12.50 I have ever spent in my life. He still loves (a year and a half later) feeding Cookie Monster, pressing out food shapes and letters, making alphabet soup, and, after Cookie Monster has eaten, turning CM around to see if he's pooped yet.A bit of context here. You tilt Cookie Monster's head back, put food in his mouth, and move his head forwards to close his mouth. By closing his mouth the bottom of his mouth drops out and the food drops into his body, which is hollow, and you turn him around and stick your fingers into the compartment in his back containing the playdough food. Now... what child isn't going to think that is Cookie Monster's poop?Actually, given that we bought this for him at 2 and went all the way through toilet training with him, this led to a lot of conversations about food, eating, digestion, and excretion. Actually this was a great and very organic learning tool, and the more that I think about it the more I am irked that they seem to have stopped making this given all of the other garbage that is marketed at kids.
