Just like what we had in school millennials.
Awesome books I’ve purchased all the books for 5th grade. Since August we’ve done so much and I find them very easy to teach my kiddo from. They are straightforward and easy to manage time with.

Love this book!
I've tried other spelling books for homeschool, and this is the best one so far! It's a list of 19 words you get for each week, & each day you work on a sheet to help your student get familiar with the sound, look, & spelling. You also have worksheets in back of book to copy for each week's words. Then by Friday you give the spelling test. I use this for homeschool & my daughter is doing excellent in spelling, getting 95-100%. Sometimes she'll miss 1 or 2 words out of 19 so we just keep working on that an extra day or 2 & she's got it! The worksheets really help with memorizing how the words work, look, & sound to help your student remember. A+ for this homeschool.

Daughter asked for this and enjoyed!
I originally purchased grade 4 for son to work on over summer break. Daughter eyed it curiously and asked for her own, so I purchased grade 5 for her. She was in advanced math and English, and recognized that her spelling needed work (our schools are advanced in a lot but spelling), and she found this workbook to be enjoyable and I would still correct mistakes. She was self motivated and would devour it, particularly enjoying the crossword puzzles. I appreciate the variety of words, as it covers some similar sounding words and challenges student to know the difference, as well as identify patterns. The lessons are well thought out and lessons are presented very straightforward, so thankfully I didn’t need to hover to teach. There are parts to practice copying words, then writing from memory, then matching them with their meaning (in various ways, sometimes mix n match, crossword puzzle), and using them in a sentence. Sometimes you fill in missing letters, syllables, Latin roots, or other variations. It’s great for etymology. My son doesn’t love this because it’s still homework in his mind, but he doesn’t hate it because it’s actually pretty straightforward and quick, despite his perfectionism that can be time-consuming. I highly recommend these spelling books.

Excellent book
Worked great to help my 5th grader learn to spell better and to also improve his penmanship. Easy and fun lessons. Seeing his progress inspired him to do more lessons

Good spelling for words and dictation sentences
This is really what we were looking for--daily practice, but a child does not have to spend much time on it.
