We got these to go over our kitchen island. They really are a beautiful focal point. The light is clear and bright! I do dust them occasionally like you would anything else, but I will say I was worried they would look dirty all the time being clear-- and they do not. Good quality.

This was a great value buy. Good looking lights and surprisingly easy install with one person. Can't wait to finish refurbishing my actual kitchen island to see how it looks with these lights.I'm decently handy, but even a nice could install this light.The directions are easy enough to understand, but I'll give recommendations that aren't covered in the directions. Before doing anything turn off the breaker for your fixture.1. Remove your old fixture2. Put up the base plate and get it aligned the way you want, then mark the anchor locations with a pencil on each side of the plate. (You'll install the plate to the junction box with this step)3. Remove the base plate and install your anchors.4. Install the base plate again and secure with your anchor bolts.The next part I thought was far more time consuming than the actual install.5. Adjust the wire to a length you think you're going to want (you can adjust further once it's installed) and tape the extra wire in the fixture or it'll be popping out everywhere when attaching to the base plate. Leave a little slack in case you want to lower it after install.6. Tape the wire and light sockets together at the bottom so they're not dangling and knocking against each other when you bring the fixture up to the base plate.7. Remove the screws from the junction box now that the anchor bolts are installed.8. There are two anchor wires attached to the fixture. Put the screws from the junction box through those and install back into junction box with the fixture (this makes wiring really easy since the fixture is secured and you don't have to hold it while wiring)9. Complete your wiring (white to white, black to black and ground)10. Tuck wires into junction box11. Attach fixture to base plate with provided nuts.Then it's adjusting the wire length to your liking and installing the glass inserts and covers. This unit is adjustable without taking the fixture down. There's little push tabs where the wire goes into the bottom of the fixture.I'm not an expert and these are only suggestions I found that made my install super easy. Hope this might help someone who thinks they can't do it themselves.

This is a very nice light, bright white but not too bright. It does work with a dimmer switch which is an added bonus. I learned a lesson or two while installing this light. First, use wall anchors on the ends of the backing plate, this is the plate that mounts to the ceiling first and over the electrical box., this light is just too heavy for the flimsy bracket to hold it without the help of them. Trust me you will regret it if you don't and try to get by by not adding anchors or if your lucky enough to find a stud place a screw in the ends. I had to take mine back down literally five minutes after installing because of this and use anchors, this light is so heavy it was actually pulling down away from the ceiling by bending the ceiling mounting bracket. Wear a pair of rubber gloves while handling any part of the light, you will leave your finger prints all over the chrome and glass pieces if you don't. The inner bubbly glass is actually glass as well as the outer cover is also actually glass. Be careful when installing the screws that go into the sides of the inner glass tubes, they don't actually screw in to the glass and must go into the predrilled holes of the glass, it just hangs from the screws like pins. The outer glass covers have rubber bushings so just make the screws are lightly finger tight but not so tight it squeezes out the rubber bushings. We used this light to replace a 3 light pendant light that had 3 led light bulbs in it and this light is brighter but the light is more focused down than all around it. The way the led shines through the bubbly glass tubes is very attractive and modern looking. Hope my experience with this helps you out, we are very happy with it.

I had seen a similar product at a popular hardware store for nearly $200! This is extremely similar and nearly half the price. I use this as kitchen lighting over the island and I feel it instantly updated my kitchen a bit. The effect is really beautiful and the light is very white—I would say more on the cool side than warm.The installation instructions are really on the generic side. I was still able to install because I’ve already installed another light fixture before. The flush mount has extremely sharp edges! Be very careful with that. Also, this is most definitely a job for two people as you need one to hold the unit while the other connects the wiring.One other thing—there is no mention in the instructions on how to adjust the length. Where the cable meets the mount, there is a tiny washer like thing that you can push to loosen the hold so you can change the length. I learned this from reading reviews, so here it is again for anyone reading.In general, the effect is great. I’m happy with my purchase. It did arrive a day later than expected, but it’s a huge box and nearly 20 lbs so that was understandable.
