Great System for Entertaining and Saving Money From Going Out - Make Sure and Buy a Wii stick as this System only comes with Pad
Bought this during Prime Day as it was a few bucks cheaper. Its a great buy because its the only system I can get my wife to play on a regular basis. Having the game pad for the new Wii sports is great and a lot of fun. The Super Mario Maker is super nostalgic as I grew up in the 90's playing Nintendo. Also if this keeps my wife and I from going out once a week or so a few months it will pay for itself in no time. I do wish this system came with the new Wii Sports game too (Called Wii Club) and also be aware that this system does not come with a Wii Stick Controller, just the game pad that can also be used like a Wii stick for certain games.

There are a few things we have learned about the wii since purchaing, most of which do not like. The first game we bought requires that the gamepad is used for player one, no choice...really not ideal when there is zero ways to buy a replacement.

Overall a solid console
I bought this when it was on sale during the Prime Day event. I love Mario games except for the Party ones, and Mario Maker doesn't disappoint. I am disappointed in the battery life of the controller, but it's easily remedied by continuing play plugged in. I like the ability to play on the controller while keeping the TV off or on another channel. I can understand a bit why this console flopped as it got a bit away from the enjoyable Wii even though it maintained the motion controller element. However, it doesn't deter me from getting hours of playing time on it, and I'll be grabbing a lot of cheap games once the next generation releases in the next year.

Even being the most underpowered console on market it still manages to stand out thanks largely in part to the intellectual property that Nintendo owns. The game library is not as robust as I wish it was but there are stand out wonderful games that by themselves could justify the purchase for some consumers. I have enjoyed my time with it.

Viene muy incompleto
Nunca me llegó en esa caja, no trajo el amibo, no trajo los soportes, producto incompleto, los mandos gastados, funciona bien pero no justifica lo que pague por el.

I'd wait until Nintnedo fixes their problems, or until they replace the Wii U with something that is more stable.
After receiving my Wii U, I found out it was pretty much useless unless I purchased external powered storage for adding games, so I ordered a 2TB self-powered WD drive that was recommended for the Wii U. After getting the drive I purchased and downloaded another Super Mario Bros. game, and things seemed okay. A few days later I bought and started downloading a Donkey Kong Country title. All told I now had well over $500 invested in this device... and it stopped working in the midst of the download. I checked the Setup and found my internet connection was no longer available. Yes, it was WiFi, and had set up initially with no problem. After spending a day trying, I couldn't get it to connect with my WiFi Router, though my cellphone and tablet had no problem. So I ordered a new Cable Modem/Router, installed and had the same problem. Then I ordered a USB Network Adapter, waited another few days, and finally after another half hour of tweeking, I finally had a network connection again. I can barely give this 2 stars, since after my problems started up, I found that the Wii U is constantly giving people fits over WiFi, and Nintendo should have included a LAN port built into the box... their Network Adapter is another $50. Do your research on the Wii U's network connection issues because it will cost you plenty of frustration and additional monies to try and live with. As far as connecting and playing online, I'm just sticking to my Xbox One for that, since it is a more robust and thought-out gaming device. Oh, and one additional comment, both my tablet and cellphone recognize over 8 WiFi access points when sitting just a few feet from my Wii U, while it only finds one, and that is my router sitting within one foot of the Wii U, and it still cannot connect. This leads me to believe Nintendo skipped on their WiFi hardware inside the Wii U, and most likely on the software too. Wait until Nintendo comes out with the next generation console, but give it time to have the bugs worked out, or just skip Nintendo all together and get an Xbox or PlayStation, and if Nintendo is forced to stop making consoles, then most of their good titles will at some point be ported to one, or both, or the other platforms.
