Nintendo DSi XL - Midnight Blue

For $150 this is a great value! Only very few imperfections in the plastic but the screens are almost perfect and no button wear! I great edition to your ds family of systems!

Well, having gone through alot of trouble trying to get a DSi, I hoped it would be worth it. And it defineately was! The problem I always had with the old versions of the DS was that it was just a games console, nothing else, it jus played games. That's why I spent time trying to find games that were like tools (e.g.the web browser game you could buy). But the DSi has met my expectations. It's cameras may be low res, but do we expect them to be 10 megapixel super cameras? No, they're just for fun, and that's what some people are finding hard to grasp, the DSi is for enjoyment. The DSiware was slow to load most of the time, as was the bowser, but it was very useful for good games like Wario snapped or apps lke Flipnote Studio. A problem I found though was that you couldn't link your WiiWare account with your DSiware account, so you had to buy separate points, but this won't be a problem for people who don't own a Wii. I was dissapointed by the internet, as it didn't use a 3G connection or special Nintendo hotspot connection, but an extra cost would probably be added if this was the case. On the other hand, the wi-fi is easy to use if you are connecting to a free hotspot like McDonalds and your wi-fi at home is also simple to log on to, you can get surfing in a couple of minutes. Overall, this is a brilliant update from the previous DS's, and next up will probaby be a DS with video recording and software for it. But this is perfect for me, being just 11 years old and just wanting to play around with photos and sounds for fun. Well Done Nintendo!

Brought back great memories playing old skool games.

I was replacing my 7 yr old daughter's old DS unit from a few years ago that broke, and I couldn't decide on which DS unit to purchase for her Christmas gift. There were several options with the 2DS, 3DS, and this DSi XL. I shopped around for several weeks until I came across the 3DS & 2DS on sale at another retail store. I almost purchased one of these units as the prices were incredibly lower than I had seen online or at other retailers. But I decided against it after reading on the back of the packaging that the 3D & 2D units could cause vision damage in children under 7 yrs of age. I have two other children below this age group in the household and didn't want to risk them getting ahold of it and playing a game on it. So I went back on Amazon and ordered this DS with the larger screen. We absolutely love it! My daughter loves the larger size of the screen and my husband plays with it all the time too! Thanks Amazon for carrying this item online as I was unable to find it in any store.

Everything works as it should. Great price. Package came super beat up almost falling apart, besides that I'm very happy.

I bought a “Very Good” used device, but I got something more like “Acceptable”. The console worked, which is the bare minimum, but it was in rough shape otherwise. Both screens were heavily scratched, and the console was disgusting. Even the outside was covered in heavy gouges and filth. Thankfully I bought it with the intention of re-shelling it, but that only revealed more problems. The inside was absolutely disgusting. Virtually every part was covered in a thick film of human filth which I had to work hard to clean. Finally, the stylus that the device came with was the wrong size. Sure, the device worked, but not well, and for who knows how long. I heartily recommend you look elsewhere, even if you’re looking to re-shell.

Fast delivery and works just fine. The battery is a bit weaker than a fresh Dsi of course, but if that becomes a problem then a replacement battery should do the trick. Dsi has no stylus as listed, but those can also be bought seperately. Seems like a good investment so far.

I recently purchased this as my old-style DS (original) had begun to show signs of 'wear' - like a crack going through it. The large screens are a welcome sight - yes I can see the smaller one easily but (in this case) bigger is better. I like the way is flips open allowing the LEDs (for charging etc) to be shown when closed. The larger stylus (and especially the pen) are also a welcome. This is because you can grip it more naturally (and less 'hard') so that your fingers don't start going numb (after a few hours of playing!). The new software is also a welcome sight as it is much easier to use. Microphone and cameras are a novel addition although I doubt they'll replace the 3.2MP camera (aka phone) that I use. Free brain training (arts edition) is an interesting addition, along with the translation dictionary (although not much use for me). The only flaw is that the web browser is poor at best. My suggestion is do not use this to surf the web at all. It has slow loading times (which are excusable) but 9/10 times I go on it and google something the system crashes. (If this happens you have to hold the power button 5 seconds or more to reset the system). If you want to surf use your PC/Mac/lapton/tablet or even your phone before considering to use the DSi browser.

Super awesome and works great. It looked brand new, and I got it on the date it said it would arrive despite the pandemic. Really stoked!

The DSi arrived in decent shape, however, the body/plastic almost seemed 3rd party? I still have my childhood DSI xl of the same colour and there’s a noticeable difference, otherwise everything works well and I’ve already modded it. It didn’t come with the nice stylus but it did come with a 4gb SD card in it.

I don’t usually write reviews but this seller is amazing. Wasn’t expecting much as this is a used dsi XL and it’s been forever since I’ve seen one. But super fast shipping arrived in 3 days, in great condition everything works came with charger, buttom screen is a little scratched but that’s to be expected on an old used console. It even came with a lego Batman GAME! I was not expecting that! Not sure if I was the only one who received a game with it and got lucky but I am absolutely more than happy with this purchase!
