The Very Hungry Caterpillar (Rise and Shine)

This is a nice, sturdy board book edition of Eric Carle's classic book. The book content is terrific, with brightly colored pictures and great language for babies, toddlers, preschoolers, and early readers. The nice thick board book pages mean that when a little one sticks their fingers in the holes the caterpillar "eats" through the pages, the pages won't rip like a paperback. This was a gift and apparently it was a hit! The 2 year old kept asking adults to read this to her over and over again. Just what every gift-giver likes to hear.

Grandbaby enjoys this book. It’s a must have for a child’s library. Colorful pictures and encourages creativity and conversation. I believe in hardback books for collectors.

Best toddler book

This is a cute story book. It’s a classic book. It is worth the money spent on it. It came quickly. I love books for the kids to read. It’s going to be a gift for my friend as she is going to be a nana. I’m happy with my purchase.

Ma fille adore

It is a good book. Children learn about the days of the week, counting to five and more, the names of different food, what happens when we eat too much, and a little about how butterflies are born. I do wish the caterpillar could be seen moving through the food, but overall, great learning points in one book.

When teaching English to my Japanese kindergarten students, The Very Hungry Caterpillar is a book I always like to have on hand. It helps that the book has been translated into Japanese and can be found in most kindergartens, so most students know the story already. But Carle's amazing illustrations and simple language make this an easy book for the kids to understand and enjoy in English. 私は英語保育の先生です。この絵本はとてもいいとわかりやすいです。子どもたちはこの絵本を大好きです。
