Skylanders SuperChargers Dark Edition Starter Pack - Xbox 360

The game is good but some strange choices were made with the tech involved. The Superchargers Portal is NOT compatible with the older titles in the series, or at least the XBox 360 version isn't. This is a problem since some people (usually kids) sell their old portals to scrape together cash for new figures. The Trap Team Portal IS compatible with Superchargers, though, and all of the previous titles on the console. That one also has an aestheic advantage. It's pretty. The new versions of existing characters like Gill Grunt aren't compatible with older games, either. They're essentially new characters with different skill trees. Usually if a character existed in an older game you could use it, albeit within the game's limitations (I.E. level caps, Wow Pow abilites or color variations). Honestly having completly revamped versions of figures is interesting but it was just mildly irritating because I wanted to gain some levels for my new fish man by playing with it in Giants for the 3DS.

Another great edition of this game. My wife loves these and has played them all from begining to end. The Dark edition give you some different guys for the game, something we wished we had during the previous game. One disappointment was that you get stuck VERY early in the game not being able to move forward without going out to buy more vehicles and characters immediately. Our advice - commit and get the early release pieces right away.

While the game itself has been greatly enjoyed by the kids, I've told them we're never buying another. They were able to play (single player mode) for about 30-60 minutes with the starter pack, then were seriously limited in how much further they could go without going back to the store to buy an air vehicle. I would have much rather paid another $20 for the game and actually had everything we needed to be able to play...but as I talked more to my son about it, it became really clear that Activision's primary focus is drawing as much money as possible out of the customers.

The worst skylander game, I am a huge fan of the games, but this one is tragic and bad, can't believe I sprung for the more expensive dark version

I bought this for my sons birthday, we had the regualr version but for some reason the disc glitched after an update and it never worked again so sad. Activison wanted 20$ to replace it, so this seemed like a better option, my son loved getting all the dark version figures and vehicles and was pretty excited about the kaos trophy. He played for hours.the graphics are good and the game runs smoothly. The only problem we are having is when we update it, like the xbox 360 says we need to, it doesnt work. So we deleted the update, and tried again, we ignored the update prompt and it works but doesnt allow you to be connected to xbox 360 live. So weird. All in all the game is fantastic and well worth the money spent. I would buy this again.

Product was advertised as new yet the game disc was scratched causing the game to frequently freeze. In addition to the disc being scratched, the case the game came in is broken. Also have concerns that the platform that holds the Skylanders during the game isn't functioning correctly either as having challenges with multiplayer functionality. This was a Christmas present for my 8 year old son and as you can imagine he is upset that the number one gift on his list this year doesn't work. Very disappointed.

My kids get a lot of play out of SuperChargers! They love it and think that it is the best of the series. They also absolutely love the Dark Edition and were very excited to get it as a surprise. From a parent stand point make sure you have 1 of each of the types of vehicles this way the kids will be good to play from beginning to end.

I would give five stars except for the fact that vehicles aren't universal!! How stupid!! I ordered the DK vehicle only to realize that it's only for the Wii(i have Xbox). Worst idea ever!! Otherwise good game, my son loves it.
