Can I apply it to my hands, socks, and shoes so my puppy can stop biting those places?

It worked with my ferrets.  Personality also makes a difference.  After a few playful nips, one decided I didn't taste good.  The other one had to see how I tasted today.  I ordered a second bottle, but never needed to use it.  He finally gave up.  I did do one thing no one is supposed to do.  One time it was more like a bite and out of reflex, I bonked his head with the remote control in my hand.  I felt bad, but he suddenly saw me as the alpha ferret.  In this case, the bonk on the head worked, but I don't recommend it.  LOL   They were nibbling on my friend's shoes, so I sprayed her shoes.  It was funny, they are walking around her shoes, sniffing, and couldn't figure out why they weren't tasty anymore--but it worked.  Good luck!  It really helped me.  It's been almost a year, but the second bottle is still unopened.

I lightly sprayed areas once a day and it took less then a week for the chewing to stop.

It depends on the dog. Some dogs like the taste according to what I've read but mine hate the taste and it absolutely stopped them from chewing the dog door and dog door frame. You won't know if it works for your dog without trying it, but it worked for mine.

This may seem like an odd thing to ask but did you have it in your wishlist? Amazon has an old problem where if you try to buy something in your own wishlist it’ll sometimes say it can’t ship it to you.

Regarding the other answers, wouldn’t it be nice if people that knew anything at all or even looked things up first bothered to answer. First off this is not banned in California. It’s in the shelves of every pet store in the state. And Prop 65 does not ban anything. Not one thing at all. It only requires labeling on products that contain certain chemicals. Turns out that this list includes most everything so it’s basically pointless. However the chemicals in this product are not on this list so this product does not contain a apropos 65 warning.
