Beware terrible return process big restocking fee
I owned a Netgate SG-2220 that died after maybe eight years and to the company's credit Netgate repaired it outside of warranty. But now it was time to upgrade to this unit. The new unit on arrival didnt boot it was DOA in my possession maybe related to failure of a PDU unit or was the result of it. Big problem with Netgate IMO is they will not fully refund even a suspect DOA unit. Customer is not right, Netgate is. They will only refurbish a DOA, assert it works, and they say they cant examine or provide logs to confirm the device ever booted in customer's possession--which it did not. I just dont want that unit back. Company will not refund 100% even if I upgrade to an even more expensive model. Sadly, as I mentioned to them, they lost a customer and IMO didnt do "the right thing" as they state in their return policy.
