Bought these to go with a skateboard for an 8yo boy. The hand/wrist guards and knee guards work fine. The elbow guards don't fit quite right - the strap w/ velcro is too big. Maybe they would fit over a sleeve. Quality is low - within 2 days the velcro came off of one of the straps. The padding and plastic guard itself is good - but the straps are really cheap. If they would put a higher quality elastic strap and velcro on, it would be a 5. But a 3 is the best I can do if I have to fix them within 48 hours of normal use. They are pretty inexpensive, and I have a sewing kit and the time so will fix them, but if you want something that will last on it's own, I would pick something else.

I bought 2 of these sets for my 2 daughters. My girls are 4 yrs and 6 yrs old but both skinny, this pads were too big for my girls, literally falling off my 4 yrs olds knees. These would be great for a tad bit older kids than mine. The pads are great quality and good color.

These pads are a great deal, but they are also a little big for my kids. I purchased (in different colors) for my children who are ages 5, 6 and 8. The knee pads fit all 3 of my kids well, but the elbow and wrist pads are too large. I plan to add some extra velcro so that the elbow pads fit my kids a little better. I think they will just have to wait to grow in to the wrist pads.

With elbow pads, knee pads and even wrist guards included, this set of roller blading protective gear keeps my little one safe as we roll along the parks in Kansas City. With so many safe, clean parks in KC to explore this protective gear is a must. Plus they go on and off easily with Velcro straps just in case we have time to stop off at Topsy's for a cherry limeade, making these a must for all roller bladers. #KC5Star

These ran a little smaller than what I had hoped. The quality tells me they won't hold up more than a year, maybe two. But for this year, they will get us by. And the price was definitely right with these! They are a little more difficult for my kiddos to put on than other types we have purchased in the past, but they are getting the hang of it. I wouldn't purchase these again, but I do not regret getting them, as I said the price was good and they'll cover us for what we need them for this year.

My 5yo is learning to ride a bike without training wheels, she has been nervous about falling and hurting herself and that has been limiting her success. She asked for knee pads so I got her this set hoping it would work and it did. She mainly only uses the knee pads though occasionally puts on the elbow pads too. She says they are a little itchy when she isn't wearing pants but it definitely gives her more confidence so has met my expectations.

These are great! My daughter is learning how to rollerskate, and now when she falls she doesn't fear it so much because she trusts the protection these give her. My only bad thing to say is it would be better if the could slide on somehow particularly the elbow pads as the straps dig in.

Though the material doesn't cover as much area as another pack I purchased at Target, the sizing fits my daughter (a tiny 8yr-old, just over 50 lbs) so much better. She is just learning to skateboard, so these will be adequate for now. These are probably not appropriate for major rough and tumble activities, but most kids this size/young won't be trying out tricks on a bike or skateboard yet. They also arrived much sooner than the estimated delivery date (over two weeks sooner).
