A Happy Hippo for a Happy Hippie from the 1960's
Wow who knew? My son works in Palo Alto,Ca. and was getting coffee and seen these on the counter and bought one for about $1.50 he liked it so much he bought them again when buying coffee so one day he bought the box of 5 pieces and shared one with me. It's funny because he only had one every Friday for a it's the start of the weekend treat. He didn't know that I took a photo of the box went on Amazon and found out they are made in the United Kingdom and yes Amazon will ship to your home and I bought a case of 10 boxes they took about two weeks to get here and they arrived 95% unbroken (I'm fine with that) I didn't complain I didn't call either, That 5% was mine. These little treats are excellent and well worth the cost and wait. I store them in my refrigerator they have a expectation date on them 09/02/2017 the complexity of such a treat with the shape of a hippo with cocoa and cream inside and detailed outside. Word got out and I see both my Sons more often (lol) with grandchildren in hand Grandpa got treats. My Sons and I see each other weekly, what's nice is handing down a tradition to my Sons and grandchildren treats for when they arrive something that started with my Great grandmother When I visited her in Oakland Ca. In the 1960's back then it was work in the garden lunch at noon and 25 cents for a days work with a home made cookie. These fall into the category of a old time treat. If you're in the market for a interesting very high quality treat you won't be disappointed with these Kinder Happy Hippo Biscuits made in the United Kingdom.

So delicious it's unreal
I tried these for the first time when i found them at world market, I'm familiar with most kinder chocolate varieties but this one i had never had before, i got absolutely blown away with my first bite and I'm officially addicted. the chocolate tastes so rich and the cookie part is crunchy and flavorful, just a sweet and creamy goodness melting in your mouth! i don't know the secret to kinder's smooth creamy fillings but they are always mind blowing in all their products and this doesn't disappoint. the case i bought over here was super fresh like it was made the day before it reached my door. i took some of those little shards of heaven to work and my coworkers were amazed at how delicious it is and before i know it they asked me to bring some more sometimes lol looks like i got them hooked. I'm definitely buying another case soon, this candy is top notch quality and a treat that everyone will absolutely love.

Happy Hippos make everyone who eats them, happy!
O.K. in the category of calorie-laden, sinful things that should not be allowed on Planet Earth---The Happy Hippos are right up there with Marsmallow/chocolate Smore's, Mickey Mouse Chocolate Ears ice cream bars, Chocolate Fountains at Fancy restaurants with Strawberries on a stick, Bubble-Gum Ice Cream, and Cotton Candy, etc. etc. If you are a fan of unreal creamy chocolate/hazelnut flavor and "Ferraro-Roche"-esque crunchy flakey bon-bons, then you'll go bonkers for Happy Hippos! I discovered these on an Asian Foods website of all Places (They are actually from Europe/Great Britain I think?) and bought a box for my Daughter. She went nuts over them, so I bought a case of ten (50 Hippos total-five to a pack) from Amazon.com. They aren't a frozen treat, they're like little puffed cookies (Three chambers in a row hooked together) with creamy filling inside and wonderful crunchy flakes stuck all over the bottom. I took them to work to let my co-workers try them and it almost caused a Happy Hippo Riot!! Every single person who eats one usually goes, "OMG!!" and then they immediately want to know WHERE I got them. Try a box and you'll be hooked for life. Don't say I didn't warn you, as Happy Hippos are VERY addicting and can cause irrational behavior in grown men and women!

Best treat ever!
I received Happy Hippos from a client who lived in Europe in a Christmas Package 3 years ago. They were so delicious and I couldn't quit thinking about them but you can't easily find them here in the U.S. I mentioned it to a friend a few months back and she got me a 3 pack for my birthday. I reluctantly shared them with my co-workers and they suddenly realized why I drooled every time I talked about them. Needless to say, I bought 2 cases to share as gifts and to stockpile at home. I think I ordered them right before the Christmas rush because they arrived in 3 DAYS!!!! So worth it!

Seriously Addictive
Found these on the bottom shelf of a PX when deployed and decided to buy one to try. I seriously regretted that decision because these tiny little hippos are amazing. Biting into one is an experience you can't replicate with mere words. I've tried, and every time I've failed. The only thing you can do is unwrap a hippo and shove it into someones mouth. That's the only way to explain how good they are. My whole platoon hated me for introducing them to the hippos by the end of the deployment. Mostly because they were only available at one base and you can't just swing by when you've got a craving. The chocolate outer coating never held up well to long transport in a barely air conditioned vehicle so we ate our haul immediately to preserve it's taste. I'm absolutely ecstatic to find them online, and in such large quantities too! The only down side is I have to decide before the box gets here if I'm going to be willing to share them or not.
