Small, portable, strong, and easy to set up and fold
I actually got this for an older friend who travels with me and can't stand for long periods of time. I was pleasantly surprised by its small size and light weight, and the carrying strap makes it easy for me to provide my friend with a seat when she needs it. It takes only seconds to open or close. A really good product.

Surprisingly Useful for Fishing Trips (and More!), But Handle with Care
I recently picked up the Boreeman Upgraded Folding Stool specifically for my fishing adventures, thinking it would be the perfect lightweight and portable seating solution for both boat trips and jetty fishing. Overall, I'm quite pleased with its core functionality, though there are a few things potential buyers should keep in mind, echoing some experiences I've seen from others. The first thing that impressed me was just how lightweight and portable this stool truly is. Collapsing down to a mere 2.5 inches, it easily slips into my tackle bag or can be comfortably carried using the integrated nylon-web handle or the handy, storable shoulder strap. This makes it an absolute winner for anyone who prioritizes packability for activities like camping, hiking, or, in my case, fishing and BBQing. Setting it up is generally easy and quick. The "accordion" style opening using the finger holes is intuitive, and I appreciate the slight twist that locks it securely at the desired height. Being able to adjust it to intermediate heights is a nice feature, offering flexibility beyond the standard full extension of about 17.75 inches, which is a comfortable sitting height for me. The nearly 10-inch diameter seat feels perfectly adequate for my needs and doesn't feel restrictive. The advertised 400lbs load capacity gives me a significant sense of security, especially when using it on a boat where balance can sometimes be a factor. It certainly appears to be sturdily made and, as advertised, it does feel more robust than some other lightweight folding stools I've seen. The availability in a wide variety of colors is also a nice touch. However, mirroring some feedback from other users, the durability does seem to be a point to monitor. While it feels solid initially, some have reported issues with it falling apart upon breaking. I haven't encountered this myself yet, but it's a concern I'll definitely keep in mind with continued use. The ease of opening and closing is also something where experiences seem to vary. Personally, I found the accordion mechanism and the twist-to-lock system relatively straightforward to operate after a couple of tries. However, I can see how some might find it a bit fiddly at first, so be prepared for a potential learning curve. Finally, the manufacturer's explicit warning about avoiding use on sloping ground is crucial. For my purposes on relatively flat boat decks and jetties, this isn't a major concern. However, if you intend to use this for hiking or in areas with uneven terrain, definitely heed their advice to test the stability carefully before fully sitting down. For my primary use of fishing (on both the boat and jetty), the Boreeman Upgraded Folding Stool has proven to be a surprisingly useful and convenient addition to my gear. The portability and ease of setup are fantastic, and the high weight capacity offers peace of mind. Just be mindful of the potential durability concerns highlighted by some users and the limitations regarding uneven surfaces. I'd recommend this to others looking for a lightweight and portable seating solution for various outdoor activities, but advise them to handle it with reasonable care to maximize its lifespan.

worth the price
Sturdy, supports my weight and lighweight to carry. The drawback is that I have manicured nails and getting them into the holes is like using a bowling ball. I will have to find a tool to help me open it when I need to use it.

It works as described.
Arrived in good condition. A little difficult to open up but then I am quite elderly. Is sturdy and stable to sit on. Cannot carry it too far as it is a bit heavy for me but otherwise Think it will be useful and I like it.

A keeper, but some notes on my purchase!
A much simple stool initially but unless you have attempted to activate it, it can be tricky! Upon unboxing, the stool held horizontally with the bottom toward my left, I inserted as directed on the instruction manual, all necessary fingers into the holes. Then pull apart. I thought was supposed to lock but it did not! My injuries to my upper body prevented my body from supplying the necessary strength to picking the choice of height. After sometime, I wanted to collapse the stool and I found that to be a little difficult, for it does require the right side to be wiggled a little to help unleash the locking lugs all visible to see on the stool’s body. I like the stool, just beware may require a break-in period! Some twist wrist action and torquing upper body movements. I would buy again.

Lightweight, Easy Carry, Very Useful
Very happy with this purchase! As a senior, I needed something to use for those events where I would be standing/walking for extended periods. This lightweight, portable stool is easy to toss in the car and sling over my shoulder. It is very stable on solid ground! Do not attempt to use on uneven grass or soft surfaces; I learned this quickly as I tipped over into a soft fall on a park lawn, lol. It doesn't collapse unintentionally, but very easily with a simple twisting. Good value for the money!

So helpful
It’s such a useful item to have. I don’t use it for camping, but it’s nice when you’re gardening or you need to be outside and you don’t have anywhere to sit. I got the hot pink color and I love it. I find it to be fairly sturdy. Of course if it’s uneven ground, you have to be careful, but that’s with everything on uneven ground. It’s convenient to carry around, however opening it up and getting it to the right height can be a little finicky at times. I found it fairly comfortable to sit on. For reference I’m about 5 feet tall and 110 pounds, so I can’t speak to someone of a larger body overall I’m glad I bought it. It’s not something that I use every day or even every week but when I need it, it’s so incredibly helpful.

Small Stool, Big Impact — A True Everyday Hero!
The Boreeman Upgraded Folding Stool has quickly gone from "nice to have" to "can't live without" in my daily life. Whether it’s camping weekends, outdoor concerts, or even just needing a quick seat while working in the garden, this stool delivers in ways I didn’t expect. Strength Meets Smart Design: First off, don’t let the compact size fool you. This thing is rock solid. Thanks to Boreeman’s upgraded structural design, it easily holds full adult weight without any wobble. I was amazed at how secure it feels, even on slightly uneven ground. The way it folds out with a simple twist motion and locks into place is smooth and incredibly satisfying. True Portability: It’s super lightweight, and the built-in adjustable strap means I can just sling it over my shoulder and forget it’s there until I need it. It’s smaller than a frisbee when collapsed — perfect for tossing into the car, backpack, or even a tote bag. Adjustable for Comfort: One thing I love is that you can adjust the height depending on what you need. Whether I’m resting during a hike or using it as a mini table for gear setup, it's incredibly versatile. Durability That Lasts: After months of use (and a few accidental drops), it still looks and works like new. The materials are high quality and weather-resistant — no weird creaking or bending after repeated use. Final Thoughts: The Boreeman Upgraded Folding Stool proves that brilliant design doesn't need to be complicated. It’s tough, it’s portable, it’s convenient — honestly, it’s the sidekick you didn’t know you needed. If you spend any time outdoors, travel, or just want a reliable "anywhere" seat, do yourself a favor and grab one. You’ll wonder how you ever lived without it!

Broke after a week of use
Bought as a shower stool while I'm on crutches for a couple weeks. Literally just use it to sit on for 10 minutes a day. After a week of use, the thing broke while I was sitting on it. Fortunately didn't hurt myself but definitely no what I expected. I thought the product was really cool and I would use it for the range and camping but not anymore!

Mine appears to be damaged
My stool does not extend to it's fullest extension as there are 2 parts that do not extend. I have tried multiple times but it just will not fully open. I am very disappointed as I need this for medical reasons
