from the tap - you have to fill it to the minimum level - but it heats up pretty fast. I would usually set it to 320 and it would take about 10 minutes.... so not long.

It says it shuts off automatically after 24 hours continued use. So as long as I reset it I can keep using the water bath for over 24 hours or longer?

That's correct. As long as you reset the bath at least once every 24 hours it can run continuously. Just make sure to periodically add water to keep the water level above the MIN level or it will shut off.
