Works well with QuickJack hydraulic hoses.
The Bendpak QuickJack instructions say that you’re not supposed to drive over the hydraulic hoses - I suppose for good reason. But the jacks are also directional, because they have to face one way or the other depending on whether you’re lifting a front or rear engine car. So depending on your layout, this can be a real PITA to connect and disconnect the hoses after you’ve driven your car into position, versus connecting them first when the car isn’t there yet. This doohickey is the solution! The channel is the perfect size for both the hoses and the construction and material are robust enough to provide the necessary protection. And the rubber doesn’t slide around when you drive over it.5 stars!

Useful, Lightweight
I use two of these to hide extension cords that I have to lay across the sidewalk in front of our home for our Christmas lights. I tape the cords to the underside of the plastic, and it gives me peace of mind knowing the cords are not a tripping hazard for pedestrians.

rubber
Not quite the height for the grove to put a standard size hose under. I mounted to strips on treated wood under each side and fastened to the rubber strip with small deck screws. I made the wood wide enough to span the walk way and fastened to the ground with narrow stakes, Works perfectly now and fits good with the additional height.

Works well outdoors
Some of the reviews are ridiculous. Of course it doesn’t accommodate a water hose. It’s a wire cover. Of course it smells like rubber. It is. It works great on my patio. No issues.

Durable and works well
I bought these 2 years ago for temporary daily watering at an apartment complex. I needed a secure cover for garden hoses that needed to be laid over an active parking lot to get from the water source to the watering area. It worked great! I have let multiple customers borrow them I the last two years when a garden hose needs to cross a driveway or parking area. The covers look like new and no one has had a broken garden hose. The ends probably fit together better for electrical cords than for garden hoses, but they have done their job well for garden hoses! These are the kind of thing you buy once for a specific purpose and end up using them randomly over time.

Too shallow for a hose
These would be fine with a extention cord, but they are too shallow for a standard hose. Also they don't stay locked together. I have also seen them bow little is strong heat.

Great protection
We bought a new house and the backyard sprinkler system was broken beyond repair. Even with professional help, I was unable to locate the sprinkler valves for the back yard. So instead I set out to research and install my own drip irrigation to automate the watering process, mostly because I am way too lazy to water my backyard every other day. I chose the rainbird family of products because of the positive reviews and the plethora of options.I chose these particular drip emitters for the medium size trees and shrubs in my yard. I chose 1/2 in tubing for the systems backbone. Then 1/4 in tubing to run out to the individual plants, flowers, trees, shrubs... There are two ways you can install them. You can install them straight into the 1/2 in tubing, like I did. The other way is to install a 1/4 in coupler into the 1/2 in tubing, then run a 1/4 tube to the plant. Then connect the drip emitter at that end.I unfortunately had to run a section of that 1/2 in tubing across my sidewalk. So I needed to protect that pressurized tubing from being stepped on or the lawnmower running over it. This cover has really fit the bill.+ Great price compared to other protectors.+ Very easy to install them.+ Great protection thus far. I am very happy with the performance.- Nothing thus far.I am very happy with the performance of this so far. Ill update this review as necessary.

Perfect for garden drip line irrigation
I set up two smart drip line irrigation systems for my wife’s raised garden beds that connects to our house’s hose bib in the back and side yard. The back yard system has to cross over the walkway that goes around the house. I quick and easily placed two of these connected together in-line to protect the 3/8” line that feeds the beds (the line lays in a small divide between two slabs of the walkway, which makes up for the guards slightly smaller size). Trash bins, lawn mower, yard cart… they all easily roll over the guards and the line isn’t getting all beat up and crushed. Highly recommend them with their solid black color and low profile design.
