Excellent and durable all-purpose airbrush.
I've had several of these over the years, using them as a primary or auxiliary tool in thousands of artworks, from book covers (sf/fantasy, romance) to remarqued/modified prints, color studies, and astronomicals, both "traditional" and reverse-painted. Even custom motorcycle tanks, jackets, etc. There are plenty of cheaper brushes that will serve for casual use, but this is a more professional tool which makes quality work easier and can handle long-term production. For very tight control, an HP-B or Micron is useful, but the C can do especially fine spraying, while handling a thicker paint. It handles broad strokes, though for really wide work requiring coverage, I switch to a good automotive detail sprayer. If you are methodical about rinsing along the way, clean-up is easy. Spraying heavier paints/pigments can lead to more cleaning, and you'll have to break down the nozzle assembly now and then. An airbrush cleaner set with ribbed wires works better than the bristles, which fall apart. I had one airbrush body which had internal threads worn too far by the wires, but that took a decade. I find gravity feed more reliable and durable, including roughing it for demonstrations and public works. Golden high flow acrylics work well in these. Only a couple of the opaques tend to clog without medium. A MAC valve is a very useful accessory, along with some form of moisture trap. This will handle diverse techniques with watercolors, acrylics, inks, etc. Get a good, organic-filter mask. I can stop the air flow down with the MAC valve and use thinned paint to put eye shadowing on a 1-inch head, or add effects to the armor on a Warhammer figure, then open it up and quickly cover a large panel. If you're running with one brush, this is an excellent and reliable tool.

Iwata
Very nice airbrush, just as described. I’ve always had great luck with the Iwata product line, and this should be no exception.

Quality airbrush
Quality you can feel. For spraying model car bodies down to fine details on small parts, this airbrush will do the job. This is my second one to add to my collection.

Like everyone else i started airbrushing with 2 inexpensive brushes
Let me start off by saying I'm not a professional artist just a hobby enthusiast who enjoys building model cars and some military kits. Like everyone else i started airbrushing with 2 inexpensive brushes, a Master airbrush single action and a Master airbrush dual action. So I wanted to step up my game by doing some detailing such as templete work and some fogging with my Badger ghost tints but my dual action brush kept clogging and spitting. i attempted every trick in the book ; changing 3 needle sizes .2mm .3mm and .5mm, adjusting the air pressure, needle juice, and flow improver. Nothing worked. Time to invest in a high quality airbrush. After extensive research i decided to go with the Iwata- Medea HP. The first thing i did before painting was to completely disassemble the unit and become familiar with all the parts. My brush came with lube so i put a little on the trigger mechanism. OK time to paint. the first test would be the paint that's given me the most trouble; the ghost tints. Put about 5 drops of paint, set the air at 15 PSI and started spraying. WOW! As soon as i pulled that trigger back i was in airbrush heaven. No spitting, no clogging,. Pencil thin lines and broad stokes with ease. After comparing the Iwata to the Master airbrush you can understand why this company is ranked very high on the list. The workmanship that goes into this brush is artwork in itself. You can notice that when look down into the paint cup and see how nice and polished it is with a gradual taper that goes directly to paint tunnel. Even when assembling the brush you can feel all the parts go together nice and smooth with no play. This unit gets 5 stars all day long. CONCLUSION. If you are looking for an upgrade and want to step up your game look no further. This brush is for you.

Truly an outstanding airbrush. Been using it for 5 years and just had to finally get a replacement after consistent use.

Great deal and worth the wait
Bought the Iwata-Media High Performance Plus to complement an older, larger coverage airbrush. Primary use is for detailed, paintwork on model aircraft. Mine was purchased through "Entrance_Akibahara", and it's a genuine Iwata airbrush. Shipping from Japan to California took roughly a month. It's likely not valid for technical support outside of Japan, but airbrushes are so basic, it's hard to see why support would be needed. It's simply a joy to use. The gravity feed cup really helps with running pressures as low as 8-10psi, minimizing overspray. The 0.2 size needle works well with weathering and shading on the 1:48 scale models I've been building. The action and spring tension for both the amount of air (vertical trigger press), and the amount of paint (horizontal trigger pull) is easy to control. Note, mine was missing the little wrench that should've come with it, but easily overlooked considering the price.

Good close to great
Well this brush works very well the only thing that was hard for me is to get the lines as thin as possible, but now that I read the review above maybe I just need to remove the cap. Also be very careful with the nozzle the one that you remove with the little ranch. I was cleaning mine and put more force than it needs and it broke.

Worth every penny. Coming from the cheap airbrush, it is not even comparable. The work is done at least 2 to 3 times fast, with more control precision, less fixing and cleaning every 2 minutes, much higher pressure, less thinner. It is a my go to for everything from priming to fine details, I m just going to give the other airbrush since I won't waste time and rather focus on skill than fixing a cheap hardware.

I have to start with a word of warning. Duty Fees. I had to pay £19.19, which reduced the value of the sale. The Brush. A lovely piece of kit. By far the heaviest airbrush I own. I have a Vega 180R and 2 cheapo brushes that came with my compressor. The build quality is excellent. See close up photos. A very nice addition to the paper work is the test spray from the gun showing how fine the brush sprays. Cleaning is a slight disappointment as the needle section does not disassemble in the same way as my Vega which allows complete from end cleaning. Feels great in the hand with nice balance and length thats suit my hands better. I am using this as my fine detail brush only. Varnishes and primers I use a cheapo. lovely brush, if you can find one without import duty you will get a bargain. Mine cost me in total £95 which is average for this model.

L'iwata è una delle marche più conosciute per chi fa modellismo e per chi usi prodotti professionali, questo aerografo si pone come ottimo compromesso qualità/prezzo. consigliato per chi vuole un buon prodotto senza spendere cifre enormi.
