Grammar and Punctuation, Grade 2 Pap/Cdr Edition

Great book for learning proper grammar and punctuation in order. This book has 25 rules, each rule has four pages. The first page explains the rule and show examples. The next three pages show you how to use the rule. It's great for progressive learning. It's starts with sentences, punctuation, proper nouns, nouns, adjectives, verbs, compound words, contractions, pronouns, using I & me, using we & us, using they & them, plural nouns, irregular plurals, using is & are, comma usage, possessive nouns, past tense (ed), adding endings, irregular verbs, and ends with comparative & superlative (er & est). Great book, ordering grade 3 today.

This is a nice complement to my daughter's second grade curriculum. At first I was disappointed that it is black and white, but she enjoys coloring the pictures! I like the progression of difficulty and there's plenty of repetition to reinforce what she's learning.I use this workbook in addition to Spectrum Spelling Level 2 and Hooked on Phonics Levels 7 and 8.Homeschooling is never easy, but I'm happy to have found this. I will probably be purchasing a similar workbook for her third grade curriculum. I recommend it as either part of a homeschooling curriculum or a supplement to what they're learning in school.

I homeschool my children. In addition to a writing and grammar textbook and workbook, I also included Grammar and Punctuation, Grade 2 in our writing lessons as supplement practice on important grammar and punctuation rules. The black-and-white workbook covers 25 grammatical and punctuation topics including sentences, parts of speech, contractions, punctuation, and possessives that build on the topics learned in the first grade edition. Each section includes four pages of instruction and activities for a total of 25 instructional pages and 75 practice pages. The variety of activities keep my second grader engaged.

I supplement my grandchildren's education and this series has proved fantastic. Short explanations followed by exercises.

I bought this book for my son for summer work who is 7 going to second grade. It's a GREAT refresher of everything her learned, but didn't master in 1st grade. FOR EXAMPLE how to make a sentence and parts of a sentence. Nouns, verbs, pronouns, proper/common nouns. If your child is already in 2nd grade this book might be too easy.

This is a fantastic book teaching primary students grammar and punctuation. Each 'lesson' is about 5 pages long and includes examples and fun exercises. It's great used as a supplement to teaching or used as homework or simply as a review of the rules. It's one of the best on this topic.

I love this book. It has a section that explains the grammar/punctuation rule, then a number of pages to reinforce the lesson. The examples are quite clear and the rules broken down into the basics. Great for us homeschoolers and terrific for traditional students who just want reinforcement or review.

Overall it's pretty good but I caught a few grammatical errors.
