JETech Case for iPad mini 4th Gen (2015), Black

Fits the ipad mini 4 perfectly. Not heavy duty-but if you are looking for a light weight case this is it. On/Off feature with open/close works. Soft interior facing glass front. Back is translucent plastic. I'm using this lightweight case for my granddaughter's old ipad mini. I chose it because it's inexpensive and I can replace it if it gets damaged or wears out. I also bought the same case in a different size for my ipad pro because the case I have now is heavy. When I travel I just transfer my ipad pro into the super lightweight case and go back to a sturdier, heavier case when I return home. This case is not heavy duty, but it works and protects the ipad. I figure I can replace it many times and still come out with lower cost than buying the higher end. I do have a high end case (a magic keyboard with case) for my pro. But as noted, this little case is just so easy. Perfect for travel when you want to lighten your load, and perfect for kids.

iPad mini 4 revised review I own a number of JETech accessories. This product was purchased as my primary protection for my iPad Mini 4. The finish is durable, does not capture fingerprints too easily, marks do wipe off easily with a rag. The fold over cover makes for a good and sturdy stand. The back cover provides plenty of protection, while leaving the speakers and external ports open. Former users of Apple’s authentic Smart Cover should be forewarned that with the extra back/body protection, you do have a little more to hold on to back there. This extra protection does not add much in the form of weight, nor will you likely notice it when you’re holding the portrait in tablet mode, while sitting. You will be aware of it when lying in bed and holding the iPad Mini in widescreen mode. ***Updated*** I am revising this review and removing one star. For all intents and purposes I still think it is a great case, but caution should be taken with those who want protection, but in day to day use you may notice a few design flaws. Of note the Smart Cover inspired front to the JETech case is good while covering the screen but sadly feels a bit bunched when placed in the “open” position, behind the iPad Mini 4. Since most of us will be using our phones in the open position this is of some note. People who like to be as close to their iPad as possible, or who are familiar with the the Apple Smart Cover will notice this the most. With the Apple Smart Cover rests behind the ipad you barely notice it. With the JETech model you picky users will feel it like a bulge behind the case. It is distracting enough to notice, and as cases with cover flaps goes, it is more noticeable than most. The second touch point that that will bother picky users is that the JETech case for iPad Mini 4 is not flush around the body of the iPad Mini 4. This is noticeable most when holding the iPad Mini 4 in portrait mode, or really, just holding it period. To make matters worse the non flush gripping of the case is further made noticeable by it having chamfered edges. it is neither pleasing to look at and it will likely be impossible for many not to notice. All that said I still give the JETech iPad Mini 4 case a 4 out of five. I like the company products and think it is worth considering. Some people could care less and will grip their iPad Mini 4 in a way that makes that less bothersome, it just so happens that both of these design shortcomings are a deal breaker for me and likely will be for people who want the Smart Cover look, but want back cover protection, but will be discerning about the small details. Had I known it would be this uncomfortable I would have looked for a back case that just accommodated the Smart Cover, as an alternative. Outside of that I really enjoy the case, like the weight, it is easy to clean, and for the most part it looks like a very quality accessory for my iPad Mini 4.

I read multiple reviews saying they received the wrong size (ordered a 64Gb and got a 32Gb, etc.), received an item labeled as an education/university device, or somehow the refurbished device received was in a sub-optimum condition and the buyer returned the item. NOTHING could be further from my experience. I wanted an iPad device to run ForeFlight and Stratus Horizon Pro apps to go with my new ADS-B/In Stratus 3i device. Those apps are restricted to iOS devices. I found this refurbished/renewed iPad and decided to it met the requirements...actually, it exceeds them. Initially, I was only getting a 64Gb device. I noticed, though, the gold 128Gb device was only about 10% more expensive, so opted for that version. I CANNOT be happier with this purchase. First, the device has absolutely zero...and I looked closely with a magnifying glass...zero scratches or defects. While it came in a plain brown box with only a charger and cable, that is fine as I discard OEM boxes anyway. I ordered a simple case, which arrived the next day, and was off. Setup was quick and painless, and the new iPad mini imported everything over from my iPad-2 (which is still running strong after almost a decade). The mini runs everything I throw at it, has great battery life, and makes flying WAY safet with the ForeFlight and Stratus apps. Overall, I am absolutely thrilled with the purchase. Not sure why others had less-optimum experiences...for me, getting a 128Gb, 4th-gen mini at a fraction of the price for a new one was one of the best purchases in a while.

Há tempos não recebia um produto tão bem embalado! Produto entrega o que promete, honesto, simples e funcional. Encaixes precisos. Material de qualidade. Acabamentos de qualidade. Resta saber se será durável com o uso no dia a dia. O produto veio muito bem embalado em caixa do fabricante, selada, com proteção interna contra danos e poeira, e enchimento interna para não "amassar" o produto e manual do fabricante.

Seit mehreren Jahren schon habe ich nun immer wieder Hüllen von JETech für meine iPads (iPad Air 2, iPad mini 2 und iPad mini 4) im Einsatz und bin von Anfang an nie enttäuscht worden, denn hier bekommt man zu einem sehr vernünftigen Preis eine sehr schicke wie auch durable und nochdazu auf die Funktionen des iPads vollkommen abgestimmte Schutzhülle, die keine Wünsche offen läßt! Verarbeitungsqualität ist absolut top - passgenauer geht es nicht mehr und die Farbauswahl ist auch toll. Da ich ein Poweruser bin was mein iPad anbelangt, kann es schon mal sein, daß ich nach ein bis eineinhalb Jahren meine Hülle wechsle, denn es läßt sich nicht vermeiden, daß einem da das iPad das eine oder andere Mal wo dranstößt oder auch herunterfällt. Gerade hier zeigt sich dieses Case auch vollkommen souverän. Alle Merkmale gelten natürlich unabhängig von der Farbe. Ich hatte mal eine Zeit lang zum Vergleich ein 6 mal so teures original Applecase und war recht bald sehr enttäuscht davon, da es nach einem halben Jahr schon so angespeckt war was sich auch nicht mehr wegreinigen ließ, wobei ich anmerken muss, daß ich mit meinen Sachen wirklich pfleglich umgehe. Für dieses Geld kann man sich 6 Jahre lang jedes Jahr ein neues Case von JETech holen sofern man der Farbe überdrüssig wäre oder auf Grund von Schutzeffekten eine neue Hülle von Nöten sein sollte. Wie gesagt, dieses Case läßt sich toll und einfach reinigen und schmutzt auch so gut wie gar nicht an. Ein echter Handschmeichler, der hinsichtlich aller Koordinaten dem original Applependant souverän Paroli bietet. Absolute Kaufempfehlung!
