Not red at all, purple.
So first it’s not red at all, it’s completely purple. Its a nice deep shade of purple and it’s extremely soft and beautiful. I’m returning it because The tail end’s don’t come down long enough when I wrap it around my neck twice and I am a petite woman. Softest thing I’ve touched in a while though and if it were long enough I would keep it even though it’s purple because it is stunning. Never mind I’m keeping it! I’m also sending one to my father and father-in-law!

I get lots of compliments on this scarf.
I'm not a scarf guy. I don't wear scarves without needing the warmth. Silk is warm. I got a new cashmere overcoat and this goes well with it. I'm surprised by how many people have commented on it and asked me where I got it.

Very light weight, even though it’s 5’ long!

A wool scarf is uncomfortable for me. For my neck. And with this it is convenient and comfortable.

My husband loved this elegant scarf
My husband likes to wear a scarf to keep warm and to look nice for work. He loves this scarf. It is well made and really pretty. Highly recommended.

Beautiful vs packaging
I gave it five stars because it is absolutely beautiful in person. The packaging is very simple and does not come in a box. But it was delivered the day before it's arrival day. Again it is beautiful.
