24 lb Sport Dumbbell by PowerBlock

I got the purple set because it was cheaper. Really I am not loving the color, but when it comes to weights it is the weight and ease of use that counts for me. I like these weights. They don't take up as much space as all the variations would if you had to buy them separately and store them. The weights are easy to adjust, easy to store, and offer varies ways to use them. The price is also better than than paying for several pair of weights. I got the 3-24 set because that would be good for my home gym. These weights will be around a long time. They appear to be well thought out and made with good quality. The grip is easy to hang onto and if you follow the guidelines and make sure you hooked both ends of the selector into the same weight you should have no trouble safely lifting the weights. (assuming you pick a reasonable weight for you.)

Review of 24lb set: First off someone made a review that said their dumbbells only weighed 21lb. I think they forgot the last weight in the box or it was missing one, both of mine came in at 23.9lb. Cons: Plastic piece for weight selection. Works fine but a little worrisome if it were to break. Some movement of the weights in use/rattling. Not a big deal I think it comes with the territory with these kinds of dumbbells but something to note. Pros: 3-24lbs in 3lb increments. This is great, much better than having to go up 5lb each time. The weight selection is quick and easy and rather enjoyable. While the weights rattle a bit in use they are secure and work fine. In fact whenever you have them in a pressing motion they are extra secured, meaning they would not fall off even without the pin (of course not recommended). They are comfortable to grip and use. You may touch your forearm to the crossmember at times during certain movements (like wrist curls) but for the most part they work just like regular dumbbells. I have IronMaster dumbbells and these are a great addition for lighter weights. Also the weights are color coded to make it even easier/faster to change weights.

the ability to adjust various weights within one main weight and not have multiple weights taking up space in a small apartment is super convenient; great to have when unable to go to the gym

Great way to have all the weights you need but in one place. Because of that it is a little bulkier than standard had weights. The pin you move to adjust is plastic. It hasn’t broken yet, but it’s a concern. It’s also flexible, so you really have to be mindful to push it in exactly parallel to the floor. Flat base makes it possible to do exercises such as a plank with alternating rows.

Looked at many other versions of this type of dumbbell but all are so expensive. This comes with plastic clips to adjust the weights, which are held tightly and don't move around when you use them. They're not huge and easy to store, a good purchase

Costly, but I love these weights. I live in a studio apt and I don’t have room for multiple weights. I just got them so I’ll update if things change but I was very impressed at my first workout! The grip is comfortable and I love that they don’t roll. And changing plates doesn’t bother me because I need the rest between sets.

1 month after purchase, these weights have replaced all our dumbbells under 25 pounds. We were concerned they would be too bulky or clunky to work with but found them to be easy to use and secure. Because of their square design, they are easy to store almost anywhere.

These are worth the investment if you have limited space. Pros - it's easy to swap the pin to adjust the weight - they take up a very small footprint and you can use them for a range of exercises - they seem to be well made and of high quality Cons - they can be a little clunkier than dumbells, have a wider profile for the lower weights than fixed dumbells, and shift a little bit when lifting them - you have to be a bit on the gentler side with them when you set them down, as opposed to regular fixed dumbells (I don't chuck my weights down after a set so it's not a worry for me, but can be if you're used to tossing your dumbells) - sport 24 don't seem to have any attachments available so you may need to either buy regular weights/bars if you advance or a set of pros and their attachments later on

I used to spend a lot of time changing the weights to use, as I had those where you have to remove some pieces. With this it’s a pleasure to decrease/increase the weight as needed.

I purchased these to get myself started with weights. I wasn't sure this came in a pair due to the description weight being 24lb. But it was 2 which have 24lb each. The wedge handle is comfortable. Switching weights is easy, and they take up the floor space equal to a pair of shoes. Having free delivery with prime was a huge saving. *Update. I have found these useful for some exercises, and the small increments are useful. Although I have upgraded to the Powerblock Pro Exp incl stage 2, I still use the 24lb sport and find their size handy
