Primal Pit Paste All-Natural Deodorant - Aluminum & Paraben Free - Lavender Deodorant Jar

As numerous other reviewers have pointed out, PPP has changed this product and in doing so have ruined it. This is a terrible shame because the old product was the most effective deodorant I have ever used. The new one won't get you through half a day. No idea what PPP was thinking but this is an EPIC FAIL.Email from manufacturer when I contacted them about change to product:"We did make a few minor changes to our formula when we changed the labels. We decreased the amount of baking soda in a small amount in our Level 2. So if you've been using a Level 2, and are now not receiving enough coverage, you may have to move up to Level 3 products. We would be happy to provide you with some free samples for your trouble. Also, the formula may seem more dry because we altered the formula to make the product more heat resistant. Our CEO has informed us to let people know that this can be easily fixed by rubbing the paste between your fingers for a moment before applying to soften it. We're sorry for any inconveniences this may have caused you."

My fiance and I have been using this product for months. We love the product; however, when we ordered it a few weeks ago (first time we have ordered since the packaging update), one of the jars came half full. Additionally, the paste was more chalky and did not mask odor as well as the previous containers. I find myself having to use more of this than I used to and it is not as effective.

I had purchased this product twice before at my local Co-Op who no longer carries it. The previous Unscented Primal Paste had a tan and yellow label and the product was so other as silk and worked great. The new product I purchased here has a blue label, and is not the same. The consistency is grainy and lumpy and hard to apply. Now I know why the Co-Op dropped Primal Pit Paste from its shelves. I won't purchase it again!

This is NOT the real product. I've purchased this exact kind of deodorant at Wild by nature- used it, loved it wanted to save a few $ and ordered it off Amazon next round. See my pictures- this product is not the same. It was hard, gritty like a putty consistency that when you apply it, it balls up and sits there. Plus it gave me a rash and never did it's job. The real product is fabulous, it goes on creamy and is absorbed and at the end of the day it works perfectly. Don't buy this product off Amazon- go to your local health food store or online or to the product website.

I purchased my first jar of this earlier in the year, and I absolutely loved it. It was perfect. I ordered another jar in July and noticed the packaging was different, but didn’t think much of it. When I first used the jar it was crumbly and dry, so I melted it thinking maybe that’s what had happened with my first jar... wrong.The new version of this product is dry and doesn’t work. If you go on their website it says not to buy through amazon because it could be a fake product and they won’t stand behind their product. I also emailed customer service weeks ago and never heard back. This version is awful and ineffective, and hopefully they realize it and change it back.

I have tried EVERY natural deodorant. My last attempt was the salt crystal thing. Yeah, that was not a go. My husband teases me about it mercilessly. :) I like this pit paste smell- it's more like bergamot or lemongrass which I wasn't expecting, but still liked. I was hoping for something that smelled kind of like a massage supplies store with that incense dark deep aroma-- that is just super happy. But anyhoodles, you really and truly rub a small pea sized amount in your pits and you are ready to go. Also, one morning I had to leave the house at 5:30am and being a lazy daisy, didn't get up with time to shower. So I just rubbed in more pit paste and I didn't stink in spite of the balmy Texas July weather. I should add that my pits are true blue American-- as in shaved-- not hairy. So if you had hairy pits, I'm not so sure this would work.Also, if you are going to use natural deodorant, make sure you have a real friend who will enlighten you in the event that you stink. It's just wrong to around smelling to heavenly high. This is the 21st century.

I tried the coconut lime stick and the royal and Rogue paste originally. I didn’t care for the smell of either but they both seemed to work well. I reached out to the company as a last chance effort to see if I just missed a fragrance. Well, their customer service was so quick to respond and willing to help and as a result I discovered a slew of fragrances that Amazon doesn’t have. I have found two that I like (Wild Woods and Seaside) and can now say that this is the natural deodorant I use.I’ve read through quite a few of the negative reviews and while some people have sensitivities (which the company does have options for on their website) I noticed many of the negative reviews were simply about a change in formula. While I can’t confirm there’s been a change, I can say that whatever the formula is now works. After using the stick, I can say I prefer the paste. Even after letting the stick warm up I still found it difficult to apply. But the point is that it works and works well.If you have a sensitivity please check their website! Also, if you have an issue then please reach out to their customer service. They do care and do respond! Love this company and this product.

you are in need of additional personal space. Believe me when I say people will give you plenty of distance if you start using this product. You smell fine for the first two hours and then you end up smelling like a teenage boy who hasn't yet listened to their mother about the importance of deodorant. Also, this product is a must have if you enjoy angry armpits.I really wanted to like this product. I wanted an alternative to my usual stick deodorant and was okay paying more money for this solution. Unfortunately all I got was body odor and underarms that revolted. I tried all of their tips about starting slowly and alternating deodorant and pit paste but in the end I went back to stick deoderant. I will say that the smell is pleasant for the short while it lasts. Application is not difficult nor is it particularly messy, it is just slightly less convenient than stick deoderant.
