desertcart.com: Ricochet: Renegades, Book 3 (Audible Audio Edition): Skye Jordan, Piper Goodeve, Cygnet Books: Books Review: Emotionally gripping and incredibly hot - I absolutely loved this story. Out of the three books so far, this one really stood out, and quite frankly, it blew the other two out of the water. While the sex scenes were all off the charts hot, they didn't overpower the plot or the struggles that Nathan and Rachel were facing. I loved their intimate times, but it was everything else that surrounded them that really made me fall for them and care about them. I'm very picky when it comes to heroines, so when I say that I loved Rachel, I would switch teams for her, that's saying a lot. She didn't have the flash that Lexi and Rubi possessed, but she made up for it with her candid remarks and how she treated everyone around her. Her relationship with the men of Renegades was so sweet - she was a mother hen, a sister, a loyal friend, and I adored them for their protectiveness and respect. She was raised with certain values, so she was hardly the type to sleep around. But her one and only attempt to live a little like Rubi once had, was both an amusing success and failure. I really enjoyed seeing her push her own boundaries which led her on a path of self awareness. Nathan was the perfect tortured hero. And when I say tortured, I really mean it. His journey throughout this story was heart-breaking at times. The glimpses into his psyche began during his introduction in the second chapter and just kept escalating from there. The author did an amazing job with his character. I felt every bit of his slow self destruction with each episode of his trauma being triggered. This couple had chemistry in spades. Aside from the wickedly hot love scenes, it was Nathan's PTSD that ratcheted up their encounters up a few notches. From the beginning, Rachel was an exception to his method for dealing with his demons. That is, until near the end when he began to unravel completely. That one scene made my heart break for the both of them. It was a little uncomfortable but so raw and believable. There was a connection but yet also a horrible disconnect that was filled with angst. I started tearing up from that point forward. Outside of the sexcapades, they displayed wonderful communication skills, both serious and humorous. I loved the fact that they had meaningful dialogues which added credence to their developing feelings. They were both quite intuitive, but neither of them made the other feel foolish. There is so much more that I could say, but this story is best experienced for yourself. If you love a confident and quirky heroine, a badly damaged hero with an edgy, sexy streak, and one hell of a redemption scene, then this story is definitely for you. I received an eARC for the purpose of an honest review, but upon completion, I had to purchase it for my personal collection. This is one book I will reach for for a re-read. Review: Feisty woman, tortured military man, explosive chemistry! - I’ve read and enjoyed the first two books in this series but this one is my favorite so far. Renegades is a stunt company that has several men on the payroll that have various expertise so there’s lots of action and potential danger. Rachel Hart is the office manager who seems to be able to do everything. She tries to run the office and company efficiently but dealing with the men is like working with toddlers. They bicker and it’s quite entertaining! Rachel has had some heartbreak and while she’s never done it, she thinks she would like to have a one night stand. She meets Nathan under misleading circumstances and agrees to spend the night with him, assuming she will never see him again. Ryker has been sent home on leave to deal with many years in the Army as a Ranger and now an EOD expert, who has lived through a traumatic mission and loss. He’s dealing with PTSD and thinks he can work things out with plenty of alcohol and women. When he meets Rachel, he doesn’t think of her like other women but feels he has nothing to offer anyone. He had a rough childhood, years in the service, and only knows the love of his men in the service. His story was quite heartbreaking. When Nathan Ryker shows up at the Renegades office the next day, Rachel is frantic that her boss and co-workers not know about their hookup. There are various reasons for this to cause friction but they can’t stay away from each other. They have such chemistry together and my jaw dropped at the sexual talents that Nathan shares with Rachel. Even though she is a firecracker in the office, bossing people around, she seems like she would be more ‘vanilla’ when it comes to sex. But there is something about the two of them that is dangerously combustible! Ms. Jordan can definitely write some scorching hot sex scenes. Additionally, the emotional connection builds between the two while they fight it. They both have issues that are overwhelming but their caring personalities shine through and I loved both of them. There is plenty of action with plans to blow up a bridge for a movie and the amount of supplies and planning involved are extensive. I was very interested in this story with the military aspect as I have several family members who are retired Army, Navy, Air Force and Marine and a couple that are currently active Air Force. I don’t have personal knowledge of PTSD nor family members who suffered loss of life or limb but could certainly empathize. Nathan feels guilty and responsible for an event, with continuing nightmares and won’t see a therapist. There are so many other wonderful parts to this story, I could almost talk about each scene. This story was poignant, sweet, sexy, funny and enough angst to make it interesting. I laughed out loud at times and had tears in my eyes at others. Nathan’s grovel was epic and I could just visualize the scene! I look forward to reading more of Ms. Jordan’s work.

This is the story of Rachel and Nathan and normally when I get to book 3 of a series sometimes I feel you lose the characters from the first ones or the story doesn't follow, but this series has been amazingly good. This book kept me glued that I woke up at 5am to get in a bit more reading before work, and just loved it. I can't wait to read some of Skye Jordan's other works now.

Strong, sexy, endearing and troubled, a perfect mix for an amazing couple . Both Rachel and Ryker ( Nathan) have problems from their past that are still influencing their lives every day. You would think that getting together is the last thing that either needs but you'd be wrong! I have loved the previous two books in this series and am so glad that I found these two authors collaborations. The texting affair in the first with Jax and Lexi hooked me with the fun and sexiness of it all and the stories have just got better and stronger from there. Wes and Rubi were a great couple and now, Rachel and Ryker (Nathan) have not only continued the strength of these books but improved them! I have purchased all of the series so far and can't wait to get on with the others starting today! Highly recommended! Amazing, full length, fully rounded stories, well fleshed out characters with believable relationships and problems and great sex. More, more , more please ladies !!

Ryker's on leave and is looking to be picked up at the airport to help his friend out on a film shoot, his ride's late so he goes for a drink. Rachel Hart was late picking up a man at the airport, she can't find him and goes into a bar. They meet- he knows who she is, she doesn't know him. Sparks fly. This is well written with lots of twists and turns but it's a fun read too. Suitable for older readers due to content.
