Great quality, seals out smells and easy to use
I am a daughter who's father was recently diagnosed with ALS. He can no longer walk to the bathroom so we bought a commode to keep right next to his bed. At first we we didn't have any commode liners and were dumping the basin and cleaning it (that was one of the most unpleasant things I've ever had to do) The commode liners make a difficult situation so much easier on a caregiver, however they all are not created equal. Initially, I tried a cheaper brand. The quality wasn't the same as these liners. They were thin and flimsy and I actually had a couple of the bags rip when tying them closed. Which you can imagine... is a truly gross experience. The cheaper no name brand ones are thinner and a lot also lack the pad inside to absorb fluids. After trying multiple brands at different price points, I will only ever buy these Carebag Commode liners. The Carebag commode liners fit any standard size commode. These liners will NOT fit a bariatric size commode. The folded liner measure 21.5" width by 15" depth. It fits over the bowl area and then you flip the seat cover down over it. They don't slip and are snug inplace around the bowl. Yes, these liners are a little more expensive than others but the quality is much better. These liners are thick, they feel thicker than the trash bags I use by Glad. Each liner has an absorbent pad inside of it that helps with splashing and sopping up wetness. Again some of the cheaper ones don't even have these pads. The bags have a drawstring pull and are easy enough that my father can tie them up himself. The box comes with directions that tell you the proper way to tie it so there is no smell. And there really is no smell that comes through when they are tied properly. The liners come rolled up and packed inside a small box. They don't take up very much space at all which is another plus and they are easy to tear off when you need a new liner. My father can tear them off himself and place them in the bowl. Becoming disabled is not easy. And being a caregiver for a loved one is not an easy thing either. Going to the bathroom without fear of spills or accidents should be. These liners help make an already difficult situation a tiny bit easier. They are 100% worth the cost in my opinion. Hope that helps.

Carebag Liners perform exactly as described and I continue to use them frequently!
Carebag liners with the special pads are awesome! The pad really does absorb liquid and turn it into a gel like substance. I have found that I like to use them 2 or 3 times before changing the bag. There is a limit to how much liquid the pad will turn to gel, but I have released a large amount of liquid several times before changing the bag, and it did not break, leak or even show signs of stress. I have used over 20 of the bags and I still have not had to clean even a drop of residue off the bucket I use with a chair commode because the Carebags are very sturdy. The Carebag liners fit perfectly and look like they are large enough to fit any shaped commode bucket. The pull tab handles on the top sides of the bags close the top pretty well. I additionally tie the two pull strings together for a tight closure and then I don't have to worry about waiting until my husband can come get it to throw it in the trash.

Convenient and effective
I have used these with a portable commode following my wife's knee surgery. They do fit securely into the container of the commode we are using (Drive Medical folding bedside) and are easy to use. They are certainly more expensive than standard kitchen or office plastic bags, but they are of a slightly sturdier quality and they come with the absorbent pad which, while it does absorb nicely and does reduce odors, does not absorb all of the urine that one might expect from overnight use. I have reordered at least once, so obviously I am satisfied. If you were planning on dumping the waste into a nearby toilet that will not be possible with these - the absorbent pad prevents that. You just have to seal them up tight and dispose of them in the trash. Some people may find that unacceptable. And, no, the bags cannot be rinsed and reused; at least not easily or conveniently.

Works well, no leaks (and that's really important!!!)
I had an elderly relative coming to visit that insisted that they would not be able to make it to the bathroom at night. The idea of having a full bathroom station setup in a bedroom in my house was not the most appealing to me. Even less appealing was the idea of having to carry a bucket of human waste down the hall to the bathroom to dump and then clean out the bucket. I saw these on Amazon and thought it seemed like a great way to avoid a lot of that hassle. The bags seemed to do their job and hold all liquids indie, with do dripping or mess. This definitely helped me to avoid a lot of mess. I think these bags would be very expensive if you had to do this on a regular basis. Like I said, I bought these just for a temporary (one week) house guest, and I found them to be worth every penny in that situation. However, if I had to pay for one of these bags every day, I may learn to just get over it and clean the bucket in the bathroom. Definitely a great convenience product though.

Never had a leak!
I have used these bags in the past with great success and never a leak, but it’s been a few years since my last surgery. When I was scheduled for another I grabbed a box of commode liners that had more in the box instead of these because they were cheaper. I wish I hadn’t. Every single one leaked and the pad inside was more like a paper towel. They were a mess. Even the drawstring would break when I’d try to close them. So I bought more of these and once again, not a single leak and I’m in my 3rd box this time. This absorbent pad has the same stuff in it as diapers and the crystals in it swell as they absorb. The drawstring is very strong and easy to close. I have 2 disabled adult children so I also love that I’m supporting someone else’s disabled adult child by buying these. They get so very few opportunities in this life to succeed and I’m glad I can support them in a tiny way by buying their incredibly well-made product. Thanks guys!
