Great, sturdy and stiff brush. The bristles are packed just right and firmly held in place. It fits nicely in the palm of your hand and does a great job. I also use it to gently brush fresh corn cobs to get the silk off. The length and stiffness of the bristles are just right. I actually bought another one in black to use as a nail brush, since I never found a nail brush that had the longer, stiff bristles for long nails!

In the past, I have used a few different vegetable brushes as pictured, and this is my favorite. I have used this veggie brush primarily for potatoes and carrots, but I found it also works very well to remove the silk from fresh corn. What I like about this veggie brush is: 1 - It's easy to clean. 2 - It's stiff enough to clean the veggies, but not so stiff it damages them. 3 - It fits in the palm of my hand and is very easy to hold. 4 - It effectively cleans veggies without damaging them. UPDATE 9/09/22: We recently bought 6 dozen ears of fresh corn that after my husband took off the outer leaves, I used this brush to remove any silk left on the corn. It did a great job of removing any silk that was caught between the kernels without damaging the corn. All that I had to do is brush each cob from the top to the bottom all around the cob, and the silk was gone. Love this vegetable brush - it make a tough job very easy. A decent vegetable brush. It cleans well and is comfortable to use.

This little vegetable scrubber is a no-brainer. I love the nice easy to grip handle because I have big hands and I love the stiff plentiful bristles. Yes, this is meant to scrub your vegetables but, let me tell you, I use this in the to scrub my hands, nails, elbows and knees I work hard and I get sweaty and dirty and at the end of the day, that dust dirt and grime and sweat can build up in all the cracks and crevices of your hands and knees and elbows. This little brushes really easy to grip for guys like myself with big hands and it's easy to scrub and break apart all that dead skin and build up to give your skin a nice clean fresh boost. I also keep one of my kitchen to use on scrubbing tough dishes and another one for when I'm scrubbing vegetables. I will buy this product as long as they keep making it because I believe in the quality of it and the stiffness of the bristles is a game changer.

This was one of those “why didn’t I get this sooner?” purchases. I originally bought it to scrub potatoes, and it does that perfectly — but I’ve found myself using it for so much more. The bristles are firm enough to get dirt and grime off root veggies, but gentle enough not to damage the skin. I’ve used it on carrots, sweet potatoes, even ginger — and it’s held up great after multiple washes. What surprised me most is how much easier and cleaner it makes prep work. "Of course I could just buy a scrubber and use that," I said to a casual friend who upon seeing this brush on my kitchen windowsill asked why I bought an "avocado brush." But the truth is, as I explained to her, was that I would never mistake this for anything other than what it was (and accidentally use it for scrubbing a dirty pan) plus it had the advantage of being easy to grip and hold, even with wet hands. I tend to be a bit fussy about keeping items used for certain things just for those things and I have come to appreciate how OXO is particularly good at thinking through their product designs before manufacturing them. So when I came across this my immediate thought was an upbeat "hmmm," meaning "that's interesting!" The price is good so I tried it--and I have to say I am very, very happy with it. I tend toward minimalism so I do not have a lot of kitchen utensils or gadgets. The ones I do have, especially ones best suited to singular tasks, need to do their jobs very well. I really the shape of the brush; it fits comfortably and securely into my hand and thanks to its ergonomic design it feels sturdy as well. The brushes are sufficiently stiff to ensure a good cleaning and you can put it in the dishwasher. I've used it on the usual carrots and potatoes but also on things I am going to peel such as citrus, pomegranates, passion fruit, bananas and, a tad more gently, on plums and nectarines. In short, this brush is another triumph for. OXO--and for us. Highly recommended.
