Outdoor Wood Fired Oven Pizza Log Guard/Ash Guard/Heat Deflector

This heat deflector is purpose made for the job, made of good gauge stainless steel (3mm thick) it has a chamfered leading edge on it that effortlessly pushes its way under the hot embers, combined with plenty of air holes it keeps the fire going no problem, and an added bonus is that the top edge is angled off so it fits tight to the sides of a dome shaped oven, ideal for the smaller wood fired ovens out there, arrived well before the estimated delivery date.well happy !!!

My fire was tending to ‘grow’ in the oven, restricting the cooking space - this keeps it all together. In a bigger oven I tended to use a gridiron and prefer the logs to be standing up than laying down - so built a little gridiron to go with this - perfect solution now - see the attached photos of lighting the oven - so easy to set up and push the grate to the back when lit.

Perfect for my homemade pizza oven keeps ash off pizza as it was designed to do. Purchased two items, as l am going to use them in the bbq to separate coals when using rotisserie.

This has made life alot easier for me. This holds all the logs in place which I feel generates a more intense heat. I used to struggle with placing a new log on an existing flame and it stuffing it out or lowered the flame, but using this to keep the logs in place this no longer happens it also help to hold the logs at an angle to increase air flow through them. I would recommend 100%

Appears to be quality steel albeit the grade of steel isn’t stated but please be very aware of the unfinished edges that are extremely rough and very sharp!!

It worked really well from stopping any ash going on pizzas and the added heat given off by them increased heat on the pizzas while cooking.

Solidly made, quality product that does the job perfectly.
