My Annoyingly Long Review of the Fantastic Spigen Tough Armor Tech iPhone 6S Case!
Awesome case from an awesome company! I've recently became a fan of Spigen after getting fed up with bulkiness of Otterbox cases and how quickly they cases wear out and look terrible after just a month or so of use. I didn't want to deal with plastic screen protectors any more either since they're easily scratched so I decided I wanted a case that was slim (I got really tired of the bulkiness of the Defender), protective (for those normal, accidental drops), and allowed enough clearance to install a glass screen protector (to prevent most scratches). After trying different cases the Spigen Tough Armor Tech (hereby referred to as TAT) case is best one I've found for me. It doesn't add a lot of bulk to the iPhone 6S; there's a little but honestly I don't feel that it's much considering the amount of protection you're getting in return. This case is a good trade-off between sleekness and protection. It's "grippy", so I never feel like I'm going to drop it by accident. The edges of the TAT case aren't sharp either making it very comfortable to hold. If you're someone like me who "fidgets" a lot with their phone (i.e., idly holding it and moving it around when you're bored) then this case would be perfect for you. The corners of the TAT case are thicker than on your standard slim cases so, at least in my opinion, they offer better protection for those drops that end with a corner of your iPhone taking the majority of impact. I've seen from multiple YouTube videos where "phone corner" drops, besides maybe the "face down" drops, tend to damage smartphones the most. There's enough lip on the case to allow a screen protector (I have a glass screen protector on my iPhone 6S that just covers the actual screen, I'm not sure how well an "edge to edge" one would work with this case since the case wraps around the edges of the phone a bit) to be installed and still be raised up enough so that the screen doesn't touch a flat surface like a desk to (hopefully) avoid scratches when placing the phone face down. Overall the case is very well constructed and honestly shows no to very little wear over time. My case, though I've continually used it over 6 months and had never taken it off, looks the same as the day I first put it on. There's no way I could say that about my Otterbox. I'll admit I'm very nit-picky about that sort of thing. As far as cons go, there aren't that many. If you're someone who likes to swap out cases a lot I will say that the TAT case is a major pain to remove. For me at least, it's a very difficult process to remove the backplate from the TPU sleeve. Maybe there's a method I'm not aware of that would make the process easier. You might be able to remove the phone from the case with the backplate still attached, I haven't tried that yet as I generally don't swap out cases that often (which I never do now after getting this one). Another issue was that at the time I was researching new cases I thought that this case would be compatible with the Spigen holster (yeah I know I'm that guy with the iPhone attached to his belt; I don't care how uncool it is I hate having lint and possibly scratches all over my phone by shoving it in my pocket). Unfortunately, due to the size of the corner bumpers of the TAT case it isn't compatible with the holster. So I went to Bass Pro and picked up an even less cool Nite-Ize velcro holster. One other con I had actually was resolved by Spigen (which is one reason I called them "awesome" a few paragraphs up). I just happened to notice that Spigen redesigned this case sometime recently and made a few very cool adjustments. One thing they did was increase the size of the forward facing audio speaker cutouts so that the sound was clearer. The other "major" change was that the nubs (I'm going to call them that anyway) on the back of the TPU that hold the backplate in place are longer, so the phone when resting on its back actually rest of the nubs instead of the backplate, making the phone less likely to slip around on a flat surface. My original TAT case was purchased after this redesign, so the audio speaker cutouts on mine were much smaller (and way more prone to audio muffling at higher pitch sounds) and the case rested on the backplate which is much slipper than the TPU nubs. These weren't that big of a deal, but I contacted Spigen anyway to see what they'd say. I figured they would tell me I'd have to purchase another case if I wanted the redesigned model. They contacted me back quickly and requested a photo of my case, which I replied back with as well as mentioning that I really liked the case, I just wanted to see if they could do something like give me a discount code or something so I could get the redesigned one. The replied promptly letting me know that they received the photo and since I had the previous model case they would send my a whole new case, free of charge! That was really awesome of them and very unexpected. So, needless to say I'm a big Spigen fan now. I got the new case installed and it's great. I'm not going to guarantee you'll get the same level of support I did, I may have just gotten lucky, but it's something I want to share about them and how they took care of me. If you're interested in seeing the differences, I've added some photos to this review. I'll apologize ahead of time for the picture quality, the lighting at our home was really bad the night I took them. I realize isn't an Otterbox and I don't expect that I can throw my phone out of a 3rd story window and it not suffer any damage using this case. But for day to day normal use this is a fantastic slim case. It's very well constructed and holds up extremely well over time with little to no wear. I highly recommend the Tough Armor Tech case from Spigen!

Excellent. Top Notch. Very Pleased. Fits 6s Perfectly.
This was an easy 5 star rating. While I sometimes neglect to leave reviews.. for a myriad of reasons, I felt compelled to submit my feedback on this case. I tried 2 others before this, the ESR Shielder and the Obliq Skyline Pro, and the Spigen is far superior, hands down. The 6s fits perfectly and snugly inside; the buttons are very tactile and crisp, and there is no play or unwanted movement in them; all of the materials feel good to the touch; the dust covers fit tightly and stay in; the front facing speaker works well and seems to even enhance the volume/sound quality; the ergonomics are superb - holding my phone with this case compared to the other two feels so much better... it feels like a lot of thought and care went into the design, something lacking in so many lower priced cases on the market today; It's considerably slimmer than the other 2 cases I tried, but I am confident that the claims maintaining the slim design doesn't sacrifice protection are accurate - I wanted to avoid a slim case, but it really works for this one and is part of the reason it feels so good and ergonomic in the hand. The Spigen Tough Armor Tech is sleek and beautiful. Nothing on it looks or feels cheap. What felt cheap to me were the other 2 cases after I'd tried the Spigen. From someone who thoroughly researches products before making a purchase and therefore appreciates accurate reviews - trust me - the Spigen is well worth the price increase over a plethora of cheaper made cases currently being sold on the internet. Afterall, you're handling the phone/case all day every day, so what's $10 or $12 for a significant jump in quality? I forgot to mention that I had the Spigen Tough Armor case on my 5s for 2 years before I upgraded. It was an excellent case as well, but I already like this one quite a bit more. Shop around, I do; but you won't be disappointed should you buy this case.

This is a great case. I think it's a premium case
This is a great case. I think it's a premium case. I would recommend this to anyone who is looking for a case that they know for sure they can rely on. I have the gunmetal version. Pros: - Nice looking design, I really like the zigzag looking area above (near the camera lense) and below the 2nd piece of the case - 2 piece design - besides the protection, I like there's a combination of the flexible tpu and hard pc. It's nice having the hard pc because it makes it feel more sturdy and I don't have to worry as much about getting it dirty - Power/Volume buttons covered by case - It's covered by the case, but you can still click it as if it wasn't there. I like it this way because it protects the buttons and it has a softer feeling when pressing it due to the case material - Easy to put in - Protective (I haven't dropped it myself, but it feels solid and it survived a 50 ft drop test with like no physical damage on a youtube video) Cons: - Cover ports for headphone jack and lightning cable port (it personally doesn't bother me and it dust keep the phone cleaner and safer, but I think some people might get a little annoyed opening it every time.

tl;dr - The case is gr8 and fits the 6s perfectly
I'm absolutely loving this case. I preordered my iPhone 6s so I could get it day 1. I also made sure to purchase an otterbox symmetry case to go with it so I would have slim stylish protection from day one. When my case arrived, I was a little apprehensive because the sticker on the front claimed it worked for both the 6 and 6s. Willing to trust them, I didn't immediately return the case, hoping that the TPU would stretch easily and still fit the phone, despite being .2mm thicker. It was very apparent from day 1 that the case did not fit as intended: the lip didn't fit right, buttons were unresponsive and hard to press, etc. This was when I decided to look for a new case that was made for the 6s, or at least one that would fit. I had seen several Spigen cases out and about so I decided to try it out and see what they had to offer. I looked through their line-up, and decided very easily that the TAT was the case that I wanted. Now that I have the case, I am extremely satisfied with the fit and protection I feel the phone has. I would liken it to the commuter series from otterbox, in that it uses a TPU inner casing with a hard PC outer shell to add fortification. The nice thing is that the case fits perfectly and my buttons are extremely easy to press and responsive, something I've never gotten with any phone case on any phone I've had. Beyond that, the phone still maintains a slim profile which I like, and certainly something that would not have been achieved had I gone with a commuter from otterbox. Overall, I am extremely satisfied with the fit, protection, and little niceities about the phone (the change to a front facing speaker is EXTREMELY appreciated). Easiest review I've ever written.

Great 6s case - tough but slender
I'm really pleased with the size and feel of this iPhone case. I've bought Spigen products in the past and always been happy with them and this case is no different. As with any phone cover, it will automatically bulk up the profile of the phone, but I feel that my phone is still nicely protected despite the relatively slim profile of this case. The rubber covers for the headphone jack and the charging port fit nice and snug within the rubber lining and don't come out or hang open when not in use. I don't feel like they're apt to come off or loosen after heavy use, either. The quality of materials used seem high all around.

Don’t mess around, stupid - buy this case.
Look, you’re probably like me and hate using cases and just like using your phone buck naked. It feels good and it’s the way it was intended to be used. But once you drop it and it explodes and you’re paying $140 for a screen repair, you’ll be like “you know, that sucked. Maybe I should use a case.” This case is perfect. It more protection than most cases with less bulk. The grip is awesome and it doesn’t feel like you’re holding a bar of soap. The buttons are done well, they feel perfect to touch. Just the right amount of travel on them to feel nice without feeling too stiff or mushy. Then the flaps on the ports, oh baby the flaps. It’s just a little extra step Spigen took and it’s awesome. Don’t need to worry about toejam, dust, or whatever you get in there getting in. This case is so sturdy you could wake someone with it and it would make their head explode. Buy this case. Stop looking at Otterbox. I mean, cmon. What are you thinking.

TAT Slates' Model: Hands Down Best Case
My review is on TAT Metal Slates and the models of that and not the previous or mixed models in these reviews. Hands down, the Slates Model is the best iPhone case protector in the market. The Slates Model addresses issues found in the older/other models which are sharp edges around the cut-offs at the bottom of the iPhone for power ports and sound. There are no sharp edges and in fact, there is now flaps that cover the cut-offs for convenient and a smoother experience of holding the case. Pros: best iPhone case in the market, no sharp edges, love how the case is designed to redirect sound to the face instead of straight down. Cons: I've dropped this case a couple of times and there are minor scratches on the metal part on the back, no damage to my iPhone. No other cons. My take is that if your looking for extreme protection and premium experience of an iPhone case+screen protector. I would suggest getting the Tempered Glass that is offered by Spigen and the TAT Slates' Model. However, if you have a white iPhone, this may be a problem because I have not found a White colored Tempered Glass that is offered by Spigen so... It may be awkward to have a complete black screen with a black case and a white home button shining out of the black box. Shell out the extra bucks for the TAT Slates' Model and you won't regret it. Thank you for reading my review, if you found this helpful, please rate.

Extra protection that doesn't sacrifice convenience!
Note: I just purchased this case this week. I've bought a Spigen tough armor (though not a TECH) in the past & have always liked the shape & feel of their cases. The protection has always been more than satisfactory as well. I switched to an Otterbox Commuter simply for the sake of variety. After about a year or so, my Otterbox broke & became stained, so I decided to purchase this as an upgrade over the standard Tough Armor. I'm already impressed by its features over the regular Tough Armor: 1. The outer shell fits tighter on the more pliable, rubber part of the case. It also has a feature that secures the shell. 2. The inner "rubber" part of the case is tougher than I remember them being, & tougher than the Otterbox Commuter silicone piece, as well. Still enough room & give to absorb shock. 3. The rubber part of the case is thicker on the corners than I remember the standard Tough Armor being. It also sticks out further on the side with the sound switch which is a bit inconvenient, but not enough to bother me just yet. Positive spin: more protection! 4. The bottom part of the rubber piece is thicker which does 2 things for you: it allows for cover flaps over the headphone & charging ports (which actually snap into the ports themselves - more secure) & it covers the actual speaker part of the phone. Instead, it has outlets on the front of the bottom right of the case which will supposedly allow sound to escape just as well. Haven't tried it yet. But I doubt it'll get clogged w/ dust & all of that now! All in all, I haven't been given a reason to distrust Spigen w/ this case. It seems more protective in a lot of ways than the Tough Armor or Otterbox Commuter while still being slim & compact enough to not bother me. Here's to hoping for a good year or 2 out of it! **EDIT** I've had this case for a couple of months now and still LOVE it. The ONLY issue I have with it is the depth of the case around the sound switch on the side. I've got to use my nails to get to the switch & can't do it just in my pocket or unconsciously any more. But that's my only complaint. My criteria for a good case was initially top-quality protection that wasn't bulky. This fits that bill exactly. Bonus: it looks good. Buy it.

Personalmente soddisfatto.
