Lifefactory Active Flip Cap Accessory for 12-Ounce, 16-Ounce, and 22-Ounce Glass Bottles, Onyx Black

After losing the silicone ring gasket under my old cap, my glass bottle leaks when in use - not surprisingly. It's happened before so this is my second time buying a cap just to get this gasket. This time though, the cap has changed. 1. The plug portion changed from a thin silicone rubber-band to a full cover cap. I never had an issue with leaking from the plug, but it definitely seals the opening better and is much more robust. One caveat with this is that water gets under that cover. I don't know how or why, but there were small drops of water on the back side of the cover. You can pull out the silicone, but that's a little bit of a pain. With the old version the plug is not enclosed so it's easy to wash and dry it out. 2. The silicone gasket between the cap and glass bottle now has a tab on it. This secures the gasket and keeps it from falling out so easily. That's a game changer, because as I mentioned, I lost two of those gaskets over the years, and they frequently fall out when put on the top dishwasher rack. They now make a white version of the cap as well. I wouldn't buy this just to get the new version, but if you've lost the silicone ring from your bottle, it's a good fit. The last consideration is the color. The black doesn't match any bottle. I don't know why they wouldn't just do a soft-gray color which is a better match for all bottles, instead of the harsh black or white. So if you can find a new bottle on sale, you might just spend the extra few bucks and get a whole new matching bottle instead of just the cap.

Love the actual jar... I do not like the full screw on lid it came with. I wanted a sport lid, easy and quick to open. I bought the 2 other lid options separately. The straw one was weird and flimsy and hard to drink from. I do not like it. The other is a flip top and although not exactly what I was wanting, it is the best option of the 3.

Works well but almost as expensive as the bottle! Expensive for a replacement cap!

This cap works great. I have it on my daughters bottle that she takes to school with either water or a smoothie. It doesn't leak.

Nice lid

This fits my Lifefactory water bottle well. However, the spout takes getting used to. The water can come out too fast and you end up with it all over your shirt. Other similar designs like the ones on my Microlite steel bottles have a smaller spout opening and don’t do this. So it is better than the screw off, but still not great. I’m keeping it, but have to be careful when I drink.

I have this one and the previous version. I was pleased enough with the previous version as my only goal was to make it easier to drink out of the lifefactory bottle (I was great at sloshing water on myself when just drinking from the bottle with no cap). I just bought this new one so I could swap out the lid on my bottle I keep at work. This new one seems better though and it doesn't leak. The previous one did, though not bad, but I didn't care because I just used it for carrying around and drinking water without using a single use water bottle. I didn't toss it around, store it on its side, or store it in bags so it didn't matter. I haven't tried this one in a bag because that is not how I use my water bottle but to dispel claims of leaking, I did just fill it with water, pressed the flip top fully closed, and shook it vigorously. Not a drop came out. Granted, I did have the flip top fully closed, so I could see that as being an issue if it was popped up even slightly. Definitely recommend it if you are like me and don't like wearing your drink. :)

Perfekt. Endlich gibt es einen dichten Deckel. Wir sind begeistert. Egal ob zum Sport oder für unterwegs. Die Investition in diesen Deckel hat sich gelohnt.

Tengo muchos años con mi botella marca Life Factory y la tapa original se rompió recientemente. La tapa de reemplazo que compré es más fácil de abrir y más cómoda para tomar aguar agua. La recomiendo sin dudar. Llegó antes de tiempo, empaque original de la marca y excelente relación precio/ calidad.

ممتاز هذا بلاستيك عكس اللي جا مع الغرشة كان سيليكون وانقطع مع الوقت هذا إن شاء الله بيدوم اكثر صار لي ما يقارب السنة استخدمه والغرشة عندي ياها من خمس سنوات.

These caps are very expensive, made me want to just buy a new bottle as I only really only needed the silicone stopper, which is not available. But my 10 year old Son really loves his water bottle
