Why did you pick this product vs others?: Prior use was superior. Works well: Charge lasted a long time and I use them a lot, so I have several as I have a trimmer, lawn mower, edger a ndj weed whacker, so it is convenient to have spares ego products use the same battery, and its great to have one in each tool, and always have a fully charged battery. Battery quality: excellent. I have had these batteries for several years, and have yet to see them degrade.

I'm a recent purchaser of an Ego Weedeater. I've used the heck out of it since I bought it. This is a good battery that holds the charge well. I sometimes go a couple of weeks without using it or charging it and it works well. The Ego Weedeater with this extra battery is the best Weedeater this 67 year old has ever owned.

Been using ego leaf blower for years now. I have at least 3 of the older version batteries. I have a larger property & am surrounded by many trees. During Fall I have to go out at least 2x a week for a good 2hrs plus to leaf blow. I do thru about 4 batteries to do task. I purchased this new plus version & am happy w it. No, it does not last longer than old version, but is alot lighter in weight thus charges in half the time the older version does which is important to me in carrying blower all around & the need to have at least 4 batteries charged to do job w/o interruption. Also feel safer being new ones state they have better cooling system so it does not overheat. Great seller , priced less than reg hardware stores & received battery very quickly. .

Ego has quite a racket going with these batteries. They are expensive, the 2.5ah doesn’t run long even on a blower, they have a lifespan of about 3-4 years and then you have to buy new ones. And when they are out of juice, they just quit with no warning. For the price Ego charges for their batteries you’d think some sort of audible sound or vibration could be produced when 10% power is left. They do charge relatively quickly when new but that doesn’t last either. With age comes “charging arthritis” and eventual replacement. This is a personal observation from empiric experience with the 2.5ah and 5ah batteries. They seem to know when the user is at the farthest point from their home to run out of juice. I use this battery on my Ego blower only and I have 2 Makita gas blowers for real work like thick wet fall leaf cleanup and other heavy duty cleanup. Overall this battery is OK but for me Ego batteries and tools are lightweight, residential tools for the non-mechanically inclined or those who dislike fossil fuel lawn tools.

Love the whole Ego line , we have the weekender, leaf blower and edger. The battery last longer than me! We'll made product ...I would say a little heavier than some but still lighter than a gas powered one. Easy to install...great value for the money. One battery fits all. Strong power , can honestly say it outworks my stihl one

Why did you pick this product vs others?: Very good battery. The best quality. I bought many from Lowes and so I decided to buy from amazon for the deal. I also bought the EGO blower, so I got the second battery for free. EGO makes awesome products; I bought other EGO things as well. This battery lasts a very long time and is perfect with all EGO items. It takes 1 hour to fully charge. The power indicator light on it is awesome.

All Ego batteries are not cheap but worth the money

Works well but very limited battery time. Love the tools, but the batteries could be better. I only got about three years out of the old ones with moderate use

not much to say really about a rechargeable battery. Delivered on time and works well. Doesn’t seem to hold its charge as well as some of the earlier models did
