Does the body effectively absorb vitamin C from ascorbic acid? I’ve heard otherwise.

Not really. I’m not a nutritionist or professional but the body needs a facilitator to deliver the vitamin effectively. Rose hips work well and the vitamin must be delivered on a time release basis. Hope my opinion helps.
