Works Great
The adapter works just fine. Very easy to install. With the linksys wireless router it works like a charm. Signal strength is always very good or excellent. Having said that the adapter doesn't work well with Belkin wireless router. I m not sure if the router was bad or the adapter was incompatible. It kept dropping connections. I exchanged the router for linksys and no problem after that.

Great, until it died
Set up fairly easily, though it did involve two calls to customer service, and the folks there are not excellent, but eventually they can help. Worked fine, I was happy. Until it flat out quit functioning at all on Day 28 of it's young life.

No Problems
I installed the drivers for this [then a quick restart was needed under WinXP], plugged the device in, and was up and running. No connection problems experienced so far - functions as expected. I have pretty much stuck to D-Link networking equipment for many years now. I was connecting this adapter to a D-Link wireless router. I have not tested it on any non-D-Link networks so I cannot comment on how well it interoperates. I would expect that it would be fine as 802.11g is a mature standard at this point but one can always be surprised. I have not tested this device under Linux or OS X so I cannot comment on its functionality in that respect.

Good choice for Linux users!
This is a great choice on USB Wireless for Linux 2.6 users. Got the driver here: (2570 version) -- [...] Installed driver, config'd with iwconfig, ran dhclient and success! I was on the internet in a matter of 15 minutes. Most of that time was spent downloading and burning the drivers to disk on my other computer so I could get them on this machine. I am running MythTV and this device allowed me to place my shuttle box in a very cramped place that had no chance of a physical network cable. Wireless PCI was not an option as my box only has one PCI slot and that was used for my video capture card. USB Wireless seemed sketchy to me but thanks to open source projects, a solution was already engineered for me. This is why Linux will prevail as the OS of choice. I am running a completely *legal* open source TiVo and not paying a dime for service. Does your TiVo have a 400Gb HD? Hardware like this DLINK worked right out of the box, therefore there is no reason not to get this if you were considering this for your Linux environment. Reception is excellent and mine came with a nice cradle that keeps it away from the computer for clear reception. Configuration was easy and seemless using the Linux tools built in to the OS. WEP works too. Any configuration windows could do, Linux could do as well. I highly recommend this product.

Not compatible with Windows 98SE
I don't recall seeing this limitation in the technical data at Amazon.com. After much frustation trying to install on my 98SE system, called D-Link tech support and got an efficient analysis of the situration. An earlier version of this model was compatible, but not this one. Was able to return it for credit. Thanks for D-Link support and Amazon's return policy and prompt response.

Didnt work!!!
I did not find this product to be easy to use at all. In fact I have not been able to use it with the internet yet. It took so long to connect with my DSL, and finally when it showed that it was connected it still did not show any display of webpages. Very unhappy with this product. Not as easy as it claims to be. However, this is just me I've read really good reviews and this is why I purchased this product. I tried calling the costumer service, but it's more complicated than any other costumer service out there. So many buttons to press in order to get to where you think you want to get. Not happy with this product, but that's just me.

Mac user - it really does work...
I purchased the D-Link AirPlus G Wireless USB adapter - model DWL-G122 I use an I-mac powerPC G4. OSX 10.4.9 - My computer is almost 4 years old. I tried to install the software provided by D-Link, but there is nothing for the mac on the install disk. I called D-Link Tech Support and they told me the USB Adapter I purchased was not compatable with my computer. After researching the reviews on here, I was able to get the necessary drivers that DOES allow this product to work with my computer. This product works perfectly with my computer... no thanks to D-Link tech support!

worked great (for one week)
Inexpensive ($30) and easy to install on my Dell Vista desktop. Worked fine for one week, then kept having problems detecting the signal from my wireless access point. Coughed up $69 and bought a Linksys wireless-G USB adapter which works almost problem free (at 54 Mbps speed). Guess you get what you pay for....
